OK...we get it. You don't like X&Y. You're entitled to your opinion, but as long as you're on here, why not lighten up and have some fun?:D

My 6th highligh of this year was probably Thom Yorke's solo album, BTW.

My 5 fav moments of 06... were

->in March: Buying X&Y , and really discovering Coldplay

->in June: I started to write poems...

->in August: I found a job...

->in November (17th): my lover and I both admit our feelings for each other... great!

->in November (24th): I won the auction for the signed coldplay T shirt on ebay...

THat's pretty pathetic...I'm glad I missed that thread. I wouldn't have been polite to him after that.

Did you say he's banned? That's my 7th highlight of '06,lol.

 Yeah he came with a bunch of other losers who thought Coldplay was stupid...blah blah the usual. Those people who have nothing better to do.

The guy I'm thinking about actually liked Coldplay's early music...he just had a brutal hate-on for X&Y. Either way, one less loser on the board is never a bad thing!:D

My Top 5 moments of 2006:

1) The best summer holiday I've ever had - 10 days in Portugal, with the most fantastic people you can possibly imagine :D

2) Spending a whole month in Ireland, studying at university there and meeting lots of fun people!

3) Finally getting to know some of my classmates better and becoming friends with them after 4 long, long years.

4) My 18th birthday - though the day itself sucked, because England lost against Portugal in the World Cup, but finally turning 18 is a great moment anyway :D

5) And there's one little moment that will always stay in my heart, but that's way too personal to mention it here ;)

I'm not surprised that you reacted on that :P

The weird thing is, though having these great moments, I felt like the year in a whole sucked.. I had these good moments, but all in all, I truly hope the next year is gonna get better.. In this thread, we only present the good things, so it all sounds way more positive than it actually is..

Ha ha! I thought it would be nice to focus on the good things. But I had a pretty shitty year too in some ways. Should I start a Top 5 suckyest moments of '06?

Did someone bend over and touch their toes, and then, subsequently, you showed them where the wild gooseberry goes?

Oh, I see what you mean and I agree with you though the moments you've explained here are really great! /even if you think the whole year sucked :D

YES!! How do you know?? :shocked3:

1. My spontaneous trip to Berlin with a mate during World Cup. After watching Germany-Portugal in front of the Brandenburg Gate we've celebrated our victory at Potsdamer Platz and I will never never forget this night, never! It was so f****** amazing and unbelievable!

2. My first trip to Berlin together with my family 2 weeks before 1. We had tickets for Germany-Ecuador and I can't describe the feeling I had during the whole game. So great to be part of a kind of history and to experience it together with your family.

3. Hm, it's a very personal one... On a very mild summer evening a good girlfriend and I met spontaneously at a beach, we ordered a pizza, watched the sun set and talked about different things until 3am in the morning. It was so random and nice...

4. Hurricane Festival; My friend's and I had one of the best times in our lifes. A lot of great bands, hot weather, a lot of beer and at the end one of the most terrible thunderstorms I've ever seen. :D

5. Watching Mando Diao in Hamburg. First we met a good friend who studies in Kiel, had a lot of fun in the city and the concert was just astonishing! ;)

4) My 18th birthday - though the day itself sucked, because England lost against Portugal in the World Cup, but finally turning 18 is a great moment anyway :D

sorry for quoting that again...

how could i forget me 21rst birthday?:embarassed:

Well, in a positive view, this year was pretty nice thought...

1) Getting coldplay tickets to the concert on february 2007 - december 4th

2) Going to Disney in july after lots of time waiting and waiting for an opportunity

3) The mini-onu thing, a simulation of the real ONU that I had to represent Hungary...I met amazing people that I'll carry with me for the rest of my life - october

4) The World Cup...I simply looooove soccer games between big world teams...My june and july were amazing...The students were able to get home earlier to watch the games!

5) The menu thing, another simulation that I had loooots of fun. This time I represented the Republic of Korea - december
