15. I. Coldplaying.com World Of Music World Cup Final

 

 

30 days long our members voted for their favourite musicians (Coldplay were excluded) in different polls. The structure of this "World Cup" was identical to the real FIFA WC. And at the end there was THE WINNER... The First Official Coldplaying.com World Of Music World Champion...

 

I'll be a hypocrite and say, this tournament was great and organising this WC was more than pleasure. The most important that it was attractive, I felt, people actually liked the idea. The Final without any doubts was the highlight. Even though, the result was a surprise and for most of us a disappointment... But that's what a World Cup is about!!!

 

THE FINAL, BABY!!!!

 

The Final and altogether 239 (78 of those came from members... In 48 hours. Wow!) votes was a proof that this tournament wasn't just a waste of time... So thank you all!

Jesus Christ, i've never seen such a hysteria before...

 

It started when Coldplay promised to release a Live DVD of their gig in Toronto. Naturally, everyone's gone crazy.

 

Though, not everyone was equally happy when we heard "the painful truth"... THERE'S NO DVD, KIDS! COLDPLAY PWNED YOU!

 

Without any doubts, this was the most depressing time of this year for the Coldplay fans...

 

ok so debs just flat out said on coldplay.com message board that there will be no DVD!!! so... i say we all go to coldplays myspace and voice our opinions about this. their myspace isn't run by the boys themself but by their record company so the people responsible for this can read it themselves. we were FLAT OUT LIED TO which pisses me off!!!!:angry: :angry:

 

...of course some people were extremely optimisitc...

Finally, after months of nothing this gig showed up on the Spanish TV (without any announcements...). As it was expected, you could download the whole gig shortly after the broadcast. Christmas present from YoL - with love from Sweden.

After that you would expect everyone's happy and delighted after getting a free TV footage, but not really THEY WANT MORE!!!...

 

This saga will probably never have it's end...

The idea of this was brilliant, though it didn't really work, did it?

 

I have random feelings about this, could have been better, worse, more interactive, more boring... don't know.
