January 8, 200719 yr Simple question, when did you move out from the home you stayed in with your parents? Originally I was 17, then moved out for 4 months (With my girlfriend, baaad fucking idea) and moved back in until I moved to England about a year later. NOW YOU GO!!!
January 8, 200719 yr I wanna move out when I'm 18... :D But, my parents haven't supported my sister into moving out, and she's about 20... She had this awesome job oppurtinity and my parents wouldn't let her have it, and I think that would definately have started my sis into moving out.
January 8, 200719 yr Author If you're going to college, then you'll basically be moving out at 18/19 anyway. Just into halls and such.
January 8, 200719 yr Yeah I wanna dorm somewhere... far... :D I want to go to an art school or med school, but my parents keep pointing me in the direction of the two colleges that are... less than 10 minutes from our house. My sister is going to one 45 minutes from our house. :/
January 8, 200719 yr i moved out last summer when i moved to england. (when i was 20) i'm back home now but i'm planning to move out soon. however i'll definitely have to move out in spetember!
January 8, 200719 yr i'm 20 and i'm moving out in february for uni in the city. i'll be staying with 2 of my sisters so it's gonna be great. it's very unsettling moving away from my parents for the first time, but it has to happen eventually. if the uni was much closer to their house, i doubt i'd move out for a couple of years yet.
January 8, 200719 yr my sister's 23 and still here. :dozey: however. i want to move out as soon as i graduated. i want to see the world and i want to have my own experiences... adventures and all that crap. :P i hope i won't end up moving back home.
January 8, 200719 yr we dont have dorms in college so people usually stay with their parents until they can afford a place on their own. if its up to me Ill get a job as soon as Im done with highschool and move out immediately, but renting a place is really expensive so I might have to have a few years. I dont want to be living with my mom by the time Im thirty, I think 21 or 22 will be my limit
January 8, 200719 yr If you're going to college' date=' then you'll basically be moving out at 18/19 anyway. Just into halls and such.[/quote'] That depends. If I find a place at a university here in Berlin I'll stay at my parents' home. That would be insane paying so much money just so I can live on my own. However if I really get to/have to study somewhere else then I'll sure have to move out, I guess. I don't mind, my brother is 23 and only just moved out - no he lives next door and my parents own/pay for half of it anyway. I can't even think of moving out and just getting my own place in this city yet. That seems so pointless. Maybe it's because I don't mind living with my parents though. They work all day anyway.
January 8, 200719 yr I'm 22 and i'm learning to drive atm. Once i have passed my test and got my own car i want to move out.
January 8, 200719 yr I'm nearly 25 and still at home :uhoh: It's nice to live in a city with a crapload of local universities. Saves money if you get along with your parents ok. That said, I did go away to school for a year when I was 19. I didn't like it though, and didn't go back.
January 8, 200719 yr not yet actually I wanted to move out after I've graduated......(this year) plans have changed so another 3 years to go....that's ok
January 9, 200719 yr we dont have dorms in college so people usually stay with their parents until they can afford a place on their own. Yes, same here... I'll finish college (hopefully) when I get 21-22. But as I plan to keep the studies I'll need my parents help so it would be until 27-28 when I hope to move to live to my own. However if I get an early chance (with no money problems) I'd do it when I get around 23.
January 9, 200719 yr I moved out when i was 23, moved 100 miles + away to London. I know lots of older people who live with their parents. Losers. (not really)
January 9, 200719 yr Actually about a month ago I got this oppurtunity to leave high school early (I'm 15) and go to college! But my parents squashed that. :dozey:
