[Favourite Albums Of All-Time Poll] VOTING THREAD

Featured Replies

@Lera: 85-92 and Fear Of Music on your list YAY!

Yeah I kinda fell for Aphex Twin after Marie Antoinette (the soundtrack includes his songs Avril 14th and Jynweythek Ylow) :wacky:

And Talking Heads are simply good  Actually, I probably wouldn't discover them if Radiohead didn't take their band's name from TH's song :freak:

depends. the deadline is tomorrow around 11 PM GMT. it means, i'll start counting the votes on Monday. i think, later the same evening the results will be ready. the countdown itself might take 2-3 days (if it will be worth making a countdown for albums outside the top 100, then even more maybe...)

oh hehe i thought it would perhaps take a week or smth, cool. oh I'm very phsyched to see the countdown! :D

2 new lists! great!

@ Zor: that's a great list and there's no amount of classics that a person should listen to. you decide what is a classic and what is not ;)

i know..but there are albums every person, who wants to get into and announce himself as a music freak, should listen to.. like beatles and their white album..

in that part i think i'm lacking while listening to music.

  • Author

i'm almost done with my list...

still have to rate my top 5, though. too hard to prefer an album to another one. i guess i'll leave it till tomorrow...

^ You know, it recently occured to me that I really don't want to rush through the classics. What will be there to discover when I'm 40 if I do? :stunned: Thus no Beatles on my list- you can only listen to something for the first time once, and I want to save a few of the best for later. ;)

Anyway, without further ado, my list. *cracks knuckles*

I could spend months tweaking this.... it's wrong already and the top 40 or so all belong in my top 15  ...not to mention it's suffering a bit of a hangover from before I was all that into music in general...

The one rule I set down for myself was that (with a couple of exceptions), only albums that I had actually had physical access to would count, because my opinion always changes when I hear an album like that. Which means alot of great stuff I liked got left off... but I just wouldn't know how to rank it.

Anyway, enough silly excuses. The list is finished. :D

I kind of set the same rule. Almost all of the albums I have listed are albums that I have the actual cd. (Hence no R.E.M. or Elton John on the list where I only have best of's).

I like your list alot Mo, there are a lot of similarities to mine. We're probably the only ones with GBS on the list. :P

Mine came out rubbish but that's what I get for doing it at 12 am.. and it's just the albums I listen to these days so yeah.. ;)

I made some last minute changes and additions to my list, because I completely forgot The Kinks, Slowdive, All-Time Quarterback etc. :D

And I also listened The Shins - Chutes Too Narrow first time yesterday and liked it so much that I put it no: 14 :laugh3:

new deadline (-2 hours): 10 PM CET!!!!

Aw that's good, at least I don't have to stay awake till 3 am lol

@stel-la: The Shins are great! On my list too.

.

yeah..that's a nice way of seeing it.

as i started listening to music more and more the more i got involed and have so much stuff to listen in order to understand the one i'm into currently.don't know i'm understandable.

I made a tiny last-minute change in my list.
