Facebook is evil!!

^ Why is that?

I don't have facebook. I have considered to join in, but I'm not really sure about that. :thinking:

i'm having trouble with joining :confused: i'm not sure what Email address to put in. can someone help??

Facebook has put me in contact with so many old friends...

Sometimes all you need to is find one and a whole world opens up to you

that's what i feel about hi5 here...

Facebook is pretty much amazing.

I'm on far more than I should be. And I'm one of the wads who is mad that it opened up to everyone, as it used to be college-only thing. I signed up a few months before it went public, and now I see middle-schoolers on there...ugh.

Call me a snob.

Hmmm..:snobby:

Hey, you are the one that encouraged me to sign up for it in the first place. :P I didn't want to. Haha!

Eww middle school kids? Isn't it only for high school and up?

Facebook is a really handy tool for college students - not just for stalking :P but for practical reasons like communicating with classmates to arrange study groups. Now that I'm no longer part of the college scene, it helps me stay in touch with/keep tabs on friends. facebook >>> myspace.

It's a shame that they opened it up to everyone and their uncle though. :( Now, I think if you have a valid email address, you can sign up for an account.

Yeah, it's really starting to get that creepy "the grownups are spying on us" feeling to it now.

My Mom's on it now... but she isn't so bad at all we had a talk about it first and she only uses it to keep in touch with her far-away friends.

It's my aunt who's the real problem... you feel funny not friending her where she's family, but she's nosy, and she's been known to lecture people about their language use on their own page- even if they're extended family she hasn't actually met!!! :veryangry::laugh3:

wouldn't surprise me... everyone is on there nowadays

since my earlier post i have made an account. yes, i gave in! it's rather good, got back in touch with friends from year 2 - can't believe we still remember each other and now there are plans to meet up! it's great to get reconnected :D

edit: btw nadia, love our avi, it's hypnotic!

Thanks Kathy! I couldn't resist an In Rainbows tribute avi. :drunk: May I add that I think your sig pic is lovely...

Humm, I just did a little search on facebook to find that there are three (yes, three) Coldplaying groups! But alas, the "official group" started by our Busybee Ian, only has 2 piddly members. :(

-->http://oregonstate.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2394891123

Here's another one with 9 people in it, but I only recognize 1-2 names.

--> http://oregonstate.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2208854665

And finally, here's Ian's WIKICOLDPLAY DOT COM group...

--> http://oregonstate.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2468512698

Not really sure what that's for. :thinking:

EDIT: Oops, I put the wrong link for the first one...fixed now! :)

I just created an account there

OMG I searched my name and I'm not the only one with that name :uhoh:

Everybody should join facebook...

I keep all kids that are below high school and all adults on a limited profile.

Ive been on myspace, bebo, facebook, but the amount of random people I dont know and have never heard of, who add me as a 'Friend', always makes me cancel my account.
