i bet you all thought it was chris martin...hehehe the 4th album is gonna be like Led Zeppelin's 4th in a sense that it's gonna have that ONE song, that "Stairway To Heaven" song that's gonna be THE song that people mention first when someone says Coldplay 20 years down the road. Forget In My Place, forget Fix You, forget Yellow, it's gonna be they're "Stairway To Heaven". hehehe, only a predicition though.

There was a thread about how we wished or thought the third album was going to be and i suggested a similar name for the album :surprised:

actually i hope it will be more like Parachutes.

but i dunno. and thery're working with Brian Eno so it'll definitely contain some electro sounds :D

I hope it is better than X & Y. Granted, X & Y had Swallowed in the Sea and A Message, but those ones were the only ones I liked.

Coldplay Working With Brian Eno

 

Brian Eno will be producing the new album from Coldplay according to an interview with BBC Radio 4.

 

Eno was being interviewed for the station's Front Row show which you can listen to here, where he described the new material as being "very original and very different from what they've done before."

 

Coldplay have been working on their fourth album since October 2006 after purchasing their own studio in London.

 

The band will also be touring Latin America during February and it's expected they will be testing some of the music from the new album on the dates.

I love the Walking on Clouds cover. It´s a great piece of art!

 

As of musically, I heard that it will be "harder and it will lack of pianos". The pìano thing is a joke, as I think, but I would like Coldplay with a bit of hard guitars.

It would be interesting if Coldplay went for a heavier approach, faster songs, more guitar riffs, and less 'electrical' sounds. If anyone has seen the 2003 tour diary, there was a 10 second warmup of Coldplay doing a faster, 'rockier' version of Trouble. Thats how I think the new album should sound.

Agree. I like the rocker Trouble, but I would like them to keep the piano. I love piano driven rock music.
