last year I was at the same concert as Nik... I guess we weren't very far from each other too... but we didn't meet...

this feb 16 I was at the same concert as Ren.. but we didn't meet

hey Ren.. you have to show us your concert pictures

I am seriously trying to figure out how to pull off a release party. You'd have to get musicians from 5 countries to one spot, and everyone else would have to get themselves there. You'd probably need funding etc. If I win that lottery...

I'll try and come up with some technology so we can all clone ourselves and meet. I'm sure clones could just you know, jump onto the back of an airplane or somethign.

If only it didn't cost so much money to travel, and we weren't so spread out all over the world that would be alot of fun.

I don't know, maybe next Coldplay tour we could pick a concert and all try to go to it, and maybe have a bash before hand. I know @U2 (a U2 fansite) have done a couple get togethers before U2 gigs to raise money for the African Well Foundation. We could possibly do that for the CCC.

We could get a lot more notice if there were a TON of us spreading the word instead of just ONE person handing out fliers. You know, everyone wearing a special t-shirt, bands, posters. It would be nice to ONE: meet a bunch of coldplayers and TWO: run around spreading CCC information and spamming that concert up.

Where are the majority of the coldplayers from? UK?

All the cool kids are from the UK.

Stop being cocky and PM me already. I'm going to bed.

Night.

Edit: Hmm, that sounds moody. I'm not moody really. But I am going to bed. Night. :)

Okay, let me tuck you in and all...since you seem to be like, BEGGING me to

:P

Just kidding. I think you will prolly get to see a reply tomorrow. Night night!

I'd love to meet the people on here in person. Just so I can be like, "Wow, you're real, you're not a computer screen! :freak:"

But I know you guys are real, it'd just be nice to talk to you, and hug you etc. :nice:

shuddup, kid! I am twice as cool as anyone and I am from the USofA.

Well you can't have it all aye....

Well you can't have it all aye....

you know NOTHING! :bomb: I hafe everything and you have NOTHING.

the end.

I haven't. A couple of years though, I came kinda close to meeting Kasia. At least, I would say I did.

that's what we were talking last time at philosophy class - how can you know that the person you're talking to on a message board isn't just a program or other "intelligent" creature. And the professor said that there's no chance of figuring that out. But there is! A webcam or a meeting! :nice: Well... this is a topic for other threads.:dizzy:

But yeah... we should really organize a meeting. People from another message board do that before every concert of that group.

But I met someone from the official CP forum - yellow me (that's his username) and I went to the same faculty to see it. :)

Valentine (AWhisper21) was in Philly recently! But I didn't see her. >..<

Whatever....:freak:

high five.

and I think it was eglantine that mentioned something about philosophy and not knowing if it was an intelligent computer deal. ONE: you said you can prove it's not some AI issue... with web cams and meeting. And two, philosophers from your class are from the stone age. I really doubt there are a million computers that give themselves a million different characters and pretend to not know proper English as if they were from New Zealand  or something and know cultural things and places of their distinct countries and say they visit concerts or whatever. Like, just think about one person you have met on a message board and tell me if they could even possibly be AI computer dealies having read little things they say and whatnot. I don't think so. Programs are just not that smart. Too much would go into making characters so distinct enough to match them with countries and grammar issues and language issues. No way. just rambling so whatever.

Was that directed at anyone????

yeah Rick, it was directed to me. :P

yeah, if you ask me, it's impossible to make such a perfect programme or something (and therefore not millions of such computers that'd give millions of different characters). I didn't say that I agree with the teacher and his hypothesis, actually, I agree with every single thing you said about it. What he said was mentioned because of solipsism, and not just blurted out.

Well, what I said before just popped in my head after I read Jenika's post, and perhaps I wasn't clear enough while I was writing that... That thing about the AI and those unreal people behind the nicknames is not what I believe in, I hope I didn't offend anyone; it really wasn't my intention.

Or by writing names on a tshirt and taking a picture of it?

And, I don't think there can be computer programs that can be as interactive as a forum member, I mean, computer programs can only be used to post spam messages about free NFL jerseys and stuff.

I guess most peoples main worry is that they aren't talking to the 22 year old supermodel they think they are, and they're talking to the 56 year old, divorced McDonalds employee.

Yup, writing names on a tshirt is a solution I guess.

I wonder how on earth did those spammers enter the forum.. they get on my nerves. But an interactive forum member which is a computer... naaah.. not possible. :\

yes, perhaps this is the main fear of many people, but... i don't think the chances are big to come across such person. They are out there, though, but it's not likely that every second person you're speaking to is one of them.

i cant come to any CCC party's unless theyre here in St. Louis.

i would like to meat a lot of people here.

Hey rick, do you like Rammstein. I can't stop listening to the song Amerika

Next tour, we should all just get plain black t-shirts that say "Coldplaying" on the front, then our usernames on the back. Then go to the shows with them on, and people from the same regions will meet.

Haha, good idea to put the usernames on the back of the shirts..

So if you see a guy wearing a coldplaying shirt you go all "yyaay, a coldplayer!" but then you see the nickname and he is the guy you hate the most.. it gives you an opportunity to run before he sees you
