Why politik is such a great song?

 

First of all, it immediately shows us that the band has a new style. No longer are they the quiet, acoustic guys that played soft during "Parachutes". With Politik, they have a much bigger sound, heavier guitars, explosive drums, and quite simply, more energy. Thus, the song pretty much stunned any coldplay fan that was expecting something like "Don't Panic", or even "Yellow." Politik :Truly one of the best album openers .

I changed my vote to "A Whisper", but In some respect I like that song because its kind of like the intermission to A Rush of Blood. I Think thats what the song was built for, kind of like "X&Y" on... "X&Y".

 

very good ;), I actually didn't like Politik till almost 1 year after I bought AROBTTH hahah, I don't know why, one day I listened to it and it sounded like totally different to all the past few times I listened to it, I think it was when I saw a video of that song live and like 1 week later I learned how to play it and then it became one of my favorite songs :D

"In My Place". It sounds like mainstream pop music to me. But all the rest is good rock music (in my ears).

On the other hand... some of you are like messed up or something I mean come on! Politik, We Never Change, Easy to Please, See You Soon are like some of their best songs. A Wisper id have to agree with. That was the only song I didnt like on AROBTTH. On X&Y I dont like Low or Twisted Logic. Till Kingdom Come I dont like because its just not like coldplay at all. What If can get on my nerves sometimes... On parachutes I like most of it. Dont care for High Speed but its ok.

I would have to say "Spies"

I love spies... it has a mistical sound or something like that :laugh3: It is like when you start diving, really extrange and it takes you out of the reality.

But I`m here to say which one is the worse song... and I say... In My Place, or Brothers and Sisters...they really don´t give me anything special...

I also feel tired after listening to Till Kingdom Come, maybe because I'm not used to that music style.

Till Kingdom Come, Green Eyes are not the songs i prefer, but most of the others are quite good and I would say great.

My least favourite is Til Kingdom Come, because I don´t like that style and it doesn´t fit the other songs on X&Y

it´s so funny how we all disagree

 

anyway, i´d like to change my list of least favourites, i didn´t say i´m not fond of almost all of the songs from X&Y (only Low) and its b-sides (though i love Sleeping Sun).

Probably the majority of X&Y, excluding Kingdom Come. The whole album just sounds to over produced.

i would have to say "till kingdom come".

not going against mr. chris but johnny cash woulda rocked the hell outta that song.

I have no songs that I would say are my least favourite but A Message is one I don't listen to as much as the others. It's not that I don't like it but I don't think it has as much of that Coldplay sound to it as the others.

i actually think 'till kingdom come is not all that bad...it kinda grows on you.

 

i can't stand 'talk' though. i skip it every time i listen to x&y...i dunno why they made it a single.
