Featured Replies

haha gosh i sent one to nicolas cage years ago. i had a good reason, i was completely madly inloveeeee lol oh teen crushes [or obsessions] this one was very unhealthy indeed lol anyway he sent me an autographed picture...hm don't know where it is now though :uhoh:

:laugh4: nicolas cage? oh my :uhoh:

i wrote one for those tatu girls a long time ago, but then got heart broken after they cancelled their concert here so i threw it away

haha indeed "oh my" :wink3: lol we'll i'm largely over it...there's only room for one celebrity now!

Well well Will, atleast my celebrity was straight lol i had a chance [ok no chance] it was a phase. the phase is over.

speaking of ur one celeb, why does he seem to have white hair in the pic? :uhoh: or is it just me?

yeah it's black and white with a coloured centre, funny i never noticed that. in the original his hair isn't far from that anyway.

seriously? had no idea...

so how about you find us that signed picture Kathy? :nice: im sure it'll bring up some real nice memories

i just emailed to a finnish radio host and tv talk show host and asked about where she buys her clothes :P she answered :P

haha but if we talk about like 'real big' celebs..no I guess I haven't.. I may have thought about taking a part in a competition where you had to write a love letter to Leonardo DiCaprio (sweet Jesus! :uhoh:). But I wasn't that good in english then.. hahaha

too bad, ur pretty good at writing those :P

and nooo im not being sarcastic :P

I have! I wrote one for Snow Patrol... I never got a reply but I know they read it because it was hand-delivered by someone I know.

I once sent an e-mail to Tally Hall (one of my favorite bands ever!) and got a personal reply. It made my day.

well in that case, i have a friend who lives in iceland and which ive told her alot about Sigur Ros when we met. once when she was driving by she saw the singer and went to say hello and told him about me and all the stuff i said and got myself an autograph :nice: kindda the best thing that ever happened to me.

seriously? had no idea...

it's true :smug: lol

actually i have a good idea where it is lol it does bring up some nice memories, majority though, aren't very good. i was really crazy for him, like really...i can't emphasis enough! :stunned: :uhoh:

^ hand-delivered - best way to ensure it gets there. i'm so glad people still reply, even if it's not the celebrities themselves. fans take the time to write to their heroes etc so the same respect should be given.

but but but kathy.. he's Nicolas Cage! :bigcry: how could you?

:laugh3: i know.

^ your story inspired me to tell my friend who lives in LA to see Mew and get their autograph for me, but i didn't want to seem to pushy, and he's not really into them yet so he passed. imagine, they are playing tomorrow 30 mins away from him and he's not going  now that's crazy.

wow.. idd fly 30 hours if i could to see them and he doesnt wanna walk 30 min?

well you knoe Elisa (iceladic girl) dislikes Sigur Ros but she still got it anyway, so maaaybe its worth a try ;) i mean when she told me about it i was in a shock, not because i got the autograph only but also because she actually met him a few days after i told her about them. spooky

that is a bit spooky. she is such a nice person for doing that. hm i will write him an email now. the fonda theatre isn't sold out yet so i'll just have to wait and see.

........

JUST REMEMBERED!

my older sister is a HUGE michael jackson fan. she was in LA years ago and attended 2 of his concerts. the 2nd night she knew where he would exit from etc and met him outside and ran straight up to him and was talking non-stop until his bodyguards shrugged her off, and just as the car door was about to slide shut, she flinged in a 5 page letter she had written the night before lol this is a very short version of what happened but yeah, she was face-to-face with michael jackson :shocked2:

Aahahaha Michael Jackson!! That would've been scary - not for him but for her!

During the 2000 Olympics wmy class had to write a letter to our Olympic hero so I wrote one to Lauren Hewitt and got a reply! :cheesy:

if you have who was it and did you get a reply

When Apple was born (and as all tabloids were making jokes with her name and stuff) i sent to Deb a poem i wrote via email (welcoming the baby to the great coldplay family), i don't know if the message was read my Chris or the band, anyways i don't mind if they did or not, Deb told me that was a nice one, so i suppouse that she gave them a copy or something.

I've posted the poem somewhere in this board... may be apple religion, or Apple godmothers...

I never did it before or later, i felt good when i sent it, but that's all, i didn't expected a reply anyways.

for other kinds of letters... i sent some emails to some local bands, new bands that have time to answer their fans, and they did, but the emails weren't like a crazy groupie, i mean i congrated them for their music and asked them if they were going to play in a local, who was going to be the invited band of that concert, that's all. 2 members of one of those bands added me to their msn, so we talked about other topics too  nice people. btw they like Coldplay :D

Ha. One of my favourite footballers is on my myspace friends.

I've talked to him a bit on there before. A little bit.

I guess myspace messages are same as fan letters, no?

yeah, i have written a fan letter to an actress from telenovela in broken spanish. I, of course, never got a reply! :D

thought about it several times, but never sent´one..

well, actually i did... somehow.

there's this official Jenson Button (f1 driver) board and one of the members was going to a test in Silverstone. Jenson was there, too. testing of course.

so she came up with the idea to create some sorta book.

everyone should write a page and she'd print out everything and put it together in a book.

she didn't get to meet jenson unfortunately, but she gave the book to some Honda mechanic and he did hand it out to Jenson because he sent some sorta reply. he posted a handsigned postcard on his webpage and it said something like:"to all the girls of my forum, thanks for you support" or something like that.

and yeah, i wrote a page, too. cannot exactly remember what i wrote, though.

quite horrible shit, i guess.

but i really loved the idea of putting together a book.

if one of us gets to meet one of the coldplay guys, we gotta make something like that, too.

wouldn't that be great?

Well in that case I got a personal reply from Bryan Garza of Scissors for Lefty and another 2 from Scissors for Lefty.:cool::cool:

I'd give it to them on one of the coffee mornings we have monthly, but it'd be like, 3 bazillion pages long -.-;

I sent, long long time ago, a letter to J.K.Rowling.

It was pre-Order-of-the-Phoenix period...and she replied.

I barely remember what did it say but I know I felt like I was on cloud nine.

It made me feel special :uhoh:

Yep, to take thats fanclub years ago, like when they first started out, I got a reply with all my questions answered by the lady who ran the fanclub, she even sent me a real, signed fanclub newsletter!!!!!! I still have it, and even though I am not so much a take that fan anymore, nobody is getting their grubby little mits on that newsletter, not even that well-known auction website!!!!!!!
