If you could have been born anywhere...

Featured Replies

Hm difficult question...

I'm very grateful and happy to be born here in the North of Germany, because everything's fine for me here. My family and friends couldn't be better and that's the most important thing for me.

I also like the weather (it's hot in summer and we get snow in winter), the North Sea and river Weser, the cities and the fact that I'm living in central Europe. I only have to drive 1 1/2 hour to reach the Dutch border (which is very useful on public holidays like today :D) and 4 hours to the Danish one. Really like the differences between all these countries. It already starts with different route signs when you pass the border... Crazy feeling everytime!

If I could have been born anywhere besides Germany I would probably name the Netherlands, because my ancestors have lived in a city near Rotterdam and I like the whole country in general. Great Britain and Ireland would have been great as well. One of my favourite countries (and I think that all people who live there don't really know how fantastic their country actually is) is Sweden due to the wonderful landscapes, the funny sounding language and of course the amount of amazing bands who affected my life.

I was born in Paris which is a great city. If I was born somewhere else it would have been in the U.S., in New-York definitly. I'm attracted by the U.S. that i have visited six times. Whenever I go over there, i spend a great vacation. I won't go this year though. I have lived 2 years 1/2 in the Netherlands. People are very nice and welcoming. I just didn't get used to the food nor the stores that closed too early.

if I could chose anywhere in the uk to be born in then it would be up in scotland, glasgow or anywhere come to that, infact, mum nearly did! I just wish she'd pushed abit harder!!!! The reason why? I love scotland, I would be proud to be scottish, because I'm sure not proud to be english! They have gorgeous scenery, haggis (I love haggis and neeps!!!), the national anthem (scotland the brave), the history and culture, I could go on..........

Or america, anywhere really, they have the best tv, people seem to have good relationships with their neighbours, they are more open and intouch with their emotions, some fab places to visit (you need never leave america to go on holiday because there are so many lovely places to visit there!), everything is cheaper, and sometimes it seems to me that america is like a world away from the rest of it!!!!

I'm happy where I was born, in the country of Andover according to my driving license :laugh3:

My dad says Bari and Naples.

The more I think about it, the more I really want to visit Italy. Or even live in Italy.

sorry for interrupting, but... :stunned: I doubt our capital has so many people! :laugh3: Oh yeah, that made me think that I'd like to spend a few months in a really big city.
