Politik(end)

I'm wondering what chords Chris plays in the end of Politik. I think they started playing it that way, on the 2003 tour..Just watch the Live 2003 DVD. It's when all the drums, guitar etc. are stopping and only the piano and strings are playing..I can hear that Chris use 2 chords...but what chords?

Can somebody help?

I'm pretty sure they are the same chords as the verses, but an octave or two higher. I believe a C7 and Fm.......that's how I play it on my guitar.

The chords in the song are

Chorus(Intro):

C7

E|-3-

B|-5-

G|-3-

D|-5-

A|-3-

E|---

Fm

E|-1-

B|-1-

G|-1-

D|-3-

A|-3-

E|-1-

Verse:

C7

E|-3-

B|-5-

G|-3-

D|-5-

A|-3-

E|---

Fsus4

E|-1-

B|-1-

G|-3-

D|-3-

A|-3-

E|-1-

Basically you're playing two notes with the right hand. C and G#. At the chord change you just drop the G# to a G. After a few of those it's a bunch of variations of F#m which I don't have the slightest clue how to play.

It's C9 (X32310) and Fm.

Chris uses more than two chords on the bit after the second chorus. I'm pretty sure about these...

...open up your...

133111

...eyes...

X32310

Fm - X X 3 5 6 4

C#6 - X 4 6 6 6 6

Abmaj - X 11 10 8 9 8

Ebsus4 - X X 8 8 9 6

Ebmaj - X X 8 8 8 6

...these continue into the "give me love over this" bit. Playing the Fm like it's played in chorus suits the loud ending better.

Everyone thanks for the help, but I don't think we talk about the same place in the song..

Try to look at this video with politik and scroll it to 6.00 min. It is here where the chords i'm searching starts:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BO0M_zooT4U

ok. You are probably talking about playing it on guitar. Well anyways I will give you the notes that I play on the piano which is the thing he is playing on the piano at the end.

The 1st one is Fm. Notes: C,F, G#

And the 2nd is not C7, but it is just C chord. Notes: C, E, G

Just played it on my guitar and it sounds great.

Hope it helps.

Actually i'm talking about plying it on piano, as Chris does when the counter is on 6.00 min. I think he is playing Fm and Fsus2 , but I'm not sure..because the tabs isn't in the official sheet music books, because Chris only play this live..

Umm well, I have just found the Politik video with piano.. In that video he teaching you how to play it from first to last I guess. Could I post in here to give you a link? If you don't mind....

Ok, well the notes are there that I posted. Those are the notes for the piano.

Did you completely miss my post? All you're playing is G#, C, G#, then G, C, G. No F's or E's.

As for the chord descent, I have no clue.

By the way, even this one only gives you the very end chord. I'd love to know exactly which descending outro chords he plays live. I know he starts with a middle Fm and ends on a low Fm, but what is he hitting in between?

You mean the last chord:

Fm ---> F-Ab-C

Db6---> Db-F-Bb

Ab----->Eb-Ab-C

Ebsus4-> Eb-Ab-Bb

Eb-----> Eb-G-Bb

The last two are half and half the times of the others.

I can't figure out how chris plays them live, looks like he plays them very up

Politik Outro Chords

Oo! I know what Chris' playing in the live outro. Actually, I had to figure it out by listening to the song since those chords are only on the live version of "Politik".

The left hand plays Fm on the low octive at the same time.

In a high octive with right hand, play both notes at the same time for 2 measures = C & Ab

And then = C & G

(So you switch back and forth between those for a couple measures.)

At the very end, with your right hand, you play descending: C & Ab, C & G, C & F

continue with single notes of: Eb, C, Ab, and finally an Fm chord

Sorry if this is confusing, it's hard to explain, but easy to play..... :\

ohhh now I understand what you talk about, I didn't get it hahha. it IS confusing CPbirdsfly, I will try but what I play is just with the right hand the Fm chord but I change the C, instead of you're Ab and G switches I do it with the C (C5 and C6) and in the end I go from the C6 down playing oall the keys of the Fm chord:

C-Ab-F-C-Ab-F-C-Ab-F

Till I get to the lowest F on my keyboard but what you say sound good so I'll try
