I was looking at the release date for the Speed of Sound single and it said like mid April and X&Y didn't come out till the first week of June. If it IS May like all the sources who've talked to the guys (Rolling Stone), then we may see the first single like the first or second week of April! I have NO clue why they would be totally done with it now and wait 2 months to release it. That, and why would they wait till the last second to tell us what it's called and when it's coming out!!!???

Maybe two new stars today means they're getting them out of the way for a Prospekt update later this week :stunned:

I promised myself I wouldn't do this, but here we go:

 

WARNING: PROSPEKT ENTRY SPECULATION AHEAD. TAKE WITH A PINCH OF SALT (its more tasty that way, trust me.)

 

The average time between Prospekt entries is about 6 weeks, give or take a few weeks. The shortest time was between 5th and the 20th of September, a mere 15 days (a day over 2 weeks). The longest we've had to wait is 47 days, which is over 6 and a half weeks.

Also something to take into consideration are the days that Prospekt uploaded his reports to the website (note that they appear on the site a few days after he actually writes them). This 'delay time' is usually from 2 to 4 days (depending on whether the entry has to wait until after the weekend to be uploaded). The most common days that they choose to upload an entry are tuesdays and thursdays, and sometimes Friday (usually the case with other stars as well). If I'm getting this wrong please alert me.

 

Treating the above 'statistics' as guidelines for the next entry, we can draw up a few dates of when it might appear on the website.

 

It's been 40 days since the last prospekt entry was uploaded, and 42 days since it was written, which is over 5 and a half weeks. Bearing in mind the longest wait was 47 days, it is likely that we will see the next entry within two weeks. Prospekt likes writing his entries from tuesdays to fridays (He has never written one on the weekend or a monday). If he has already written the next entry last friday, we will see it uploaded today. If he has not yet written the entry, then he will write it sometime this week. If he writes it today, we might see it tomorrow, but it will most likely be Thursday or Friday. If he writes it on Wednesday or thursday, we're likely to see it on Friday. If he writes it this friday, we will see it early next week. On the off chance that he will leave writing until next week, the latest we'll see the entry will be next friday.

 

From my poorly constructed and confusing analysis, I would say that the most likely days we will see this highly anticipated prospekt entry are Thursday 13th and Friday 15th of March. Other possible days that we will see one are today (Tuesday 11th), next Tuesday (18th). If none of this happens, then expect the entry on 20th or 21st of March, next thursday and friday respectively.

haha, i've been out to get my mind off THE star--glad they gave SOTD its own star! it most certainly deserves it.

 

now i've REALLY got my hopes up for friday...i might rampage if it's not up by midday on saturday. well, ok, certainly not rampage, but i'll be quite disappointed that another week has passed without us knowing. and that i'll have to celebrate THE star at uni, which will have to be a much more toned-down celebration.

just need it by the end of the week, and we'll be fine

why i don't know,but they're really making late all the things this time,

 

like telling something about the album progress,or keeping some interesting stars on coldplay.com, or what the album should be called (well atleast something to guess) and any more finishing touches to do with the album.

 

anyway day by day i am getting a thought that i should stay away for several days from all the things like official site,this forum, and any other news from coldplay and concentrate on my life.

 

Because there's no information and i am not feeling fine.

 

i just want to concentrate on downloading all the stuff from coldplay till now and enjoy until they say something or release!

i don't actually know if i even did the 'next prospekt entry' sweepstake, but i'm going to check now, and if i didn't then i'm going to put in for friday march 14. even though i think i might be wrong.

 

did a good job distracting myself today, but i did sneak into the apple store in my mall and use the macbook air to check coldplay.com for star action...well, i can't very well go cold turkey NOW, can i?? :p

if they give us another "ooh look at our progress! but we're taunting you by not giving you any concrete info!" i'm seriously going to believe that they LIKE pissing us off.

Nah, I'm sure they have good intentions. But the hype is exactly what CP are probably not wanting to stand for this time around.

 

But the sooner the announcements come, the sooner we know if they are touring or doing any festivals, and that's what I'm most concerned with. :D
