Is anyone actually gonna go to see this just for the Coldplay track? I have a feeling that even if someone illegally films it, they'll cut off the credits at the end anyway. So we pretty much have to do this ourselves.

well i hate to bring more bad news for the day butt i was looking around for more info about The Escapist and i found the official website and... it says there the movie isn't coming out until April 25th :\ so thats about a month away....

oh yes, i think we'll have to do it ourselves. and apparently it's out april 11th in the UK and april 25th in the US, so someone in the UK HAS to go see it for us and bring home the goods. yes, i would see it for the coldplay track, but i'm a movie freak so i'd eventually see it at some point anyway. if it was out in america first, i'd volunteer to record the song from the credits (assuming i had an MP3 recorder, but i've been meaning to get one anyway).

Well I guess I'll be on my break on Aprill 11th, so... I might go see it. But the thing is, the only way I would be able to record anything is using my laptop and my microphone. And it would look more than slightly suspicious if I was spotted with a microphone in my hand and a laptop in my lap with an audio streaming program open on the screen. I'll have to have a think about it.

Why is EVERYTHING even associated with Coldplay either incredibly secretive or extremely vague!? I wonder if there's even an album at all!? Maybe the whole thing is just some cruel hoax that on April 1st, they'll have a Prospekt entry that says "April Fools! There isn't actually an album!" And what was Prospekt smoking on the last entry? I wouldn't! I used to work in a cinema and we used to search bags and we would constantly check screens. If you got caught you'd be in so much trouble. First thing we used to do was phone police before we'd approach the offender. You could be sitting there and then the next thing have police escorting you out.

 

Unless it's a particularly shit cinema I'd say your chances of getting caught are really high. We used to get trained specifically on how to spot people with recording equipment.

Well it's up to you but be sooo careful, it's not just staff, projectionists have a full view from above the screen and can see everything, they've caught people with the tiniest of mobile phones.
