July 19, 200718 yr Hey there :) I'm Esti and I'm from Israel... I used to take part in this forum a lot but somehow I've started to feel kinda outsider over here ( since I'm also only 15 years old?). But now I really need your help in something I've been hoping you can help in this simple thing. "Muse" is supposed to come to Israel in order to a HUGE rock festival in the 30th september to 1st october. And now, Muse are discussing about cancelling the concert beacause of the security issues that are being exaggerated by the international media. Nothing, literally, is going on here. http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/museisrael/ Please read this petition and sign below, it will take only 2 minutes of your time. We're gonna send it to the Muse impresario in Israel an in UK. It is very very important to me and to the significant and enormous number of intense fans of muse in Israel. Thank you so much!!! Esti.
July 19, 200718 yr Author I can't belive you just said that. Your media is bloffing, and who can know better if not me, actually living here? But I know I can't change your mind. I've been arguing a lot with people like you, who unfortunately prefer to belive to their stupid TV. (I didn't mean to say anything bad about you guys)
July 20, 200718 yr Author well I wasn't joking about what I said earlier. I meant to the crying smiley.
July 21, 200718 yr You don't want a rebel group to try and take out one of the UK's best bands... Actually I think this is a good point. I don't say it is necessary that a rebel group would kill Muse (and fans) or do anything at the concert, but the chance of some attack is bigger than in the UK. I don't say anything against Muse to perform in Israel, I think it's a good thing, but there's SOME risk.

"Some" risk is everywhere. Exactly like you can walk in the street and someone attacks you, or like a terrorist in the London's underground. In Israel, we don't live a life of "rebel groups", or like some poor children in Iraq (I mean a life of war and fear, no education, no money, no technology). The only mess that's going on is in Gaza, and it's kinda far away. We live our beautiful routines, like in any other country. Take me as a teenager: I have proper education, I'm hangin out, buying my outfit and CDs, I go to music concerts and to shopping or cinema or whatever, I have private lessons, I'm babysitting, etc. you got the point. I just have this feeling you're seeing Israel as some scary place where everyday somebody explodes (I know it's some very radical example).
July 21, 200718 yr Iraq is a safe place, it's only Baghdad and the area around Basra the main problems are.
July 21, 200718 yr Signed the petition, Esti :) And I really wish Muse go to Israel I totaly agree with you. I mean, the media can be totaly unpleasant sometimes and they say what they want, most of times not the truth. I mean, I take Brazil as an example. Some people think that it`s a huge jungle, monkeys walking around streets, people wanting to kill you and take your money in every corner and all this stuff. Totaly non-sense. You and the people who live in Israel are the only ones who can if it`s truth or not.

July 21, 200718 yr Author You mean it ISN'T??:stunned: would you please read what I wrote in page 1? Hey Li_cold thank you so much! you are really the first person here who finally understands what I'm trying to say! Thats true, I also see how the international media is making people think that Brazil is some wild place that peple there are lazy and doing nothing except playing football in the streets all day. Belive it or not, the media represents some countries totally upside down. And they know people are going to belive every single word.

July 21, 200718 yr Author Well, trully I have no idea. I don't belive to the TV (most of the time, when it comes to actuallity). But it kinda looks fun to me, you know to play football all day and forget about the world...

July 21, 200718 yr Author And don't forget carnival!! Oh yeah! Life of football and carnival! By the way, I've read that one of the carnival's main purposes is to make some people forget about the bad economic state and just celebrate. So if you're out of money or something you can arrange a festival in your backyard and forget your troubles... Bahh...I have no Idea why I wrote those 2 last sentences...:\

No one listens to Dana International (well maybe some uneducated-musically people). you should type in youtube "Hayehudim" (The Jews). Just try... I'm sure it won't disappoint you. oh and I didn't eat bagel since... 7th grade... But it hasn't been that long for me cause I'm only in 10th grade now (If you'll eat bagel all day, you'll get fat! In fact, it's not so good after you eat that idefinetly:confused:)
