Windows or Macintosh?

Featured Replies

As I compared with them both, I prefer Macintosh because no viruses there and also its simple to use and comfort but sometimes not all the programs are the same as Windows. Like games ex: diner dash and stuff :P

I don't really like Windows because there's a virus available, well I usually scan it everyday with AVG but I'm afraid if its hank. I quite like the programs also but yeah.. The virus is really annoying!

What if they are put in together? Is there any viruses available?

And one more, I need your poll and suggest. Thank you! :D

Well let's hope you don't get the Spamarek virus. That's one of the worst!!:stunned:

i never had the chance to try a mac... :( i tried other operative systems not windows.. mainly linux (mandrake, suse, molinux...), and many copy-left programs :)

Fact: The first computer virus was written for Macs.

There are viruses for Macs but because only ~ 5% of the computers in the work run Macs, the virus writers focus on Windoze as it will have a bigger impact plus Windoze isn't as secure as Macs.

However Vista security systems are very strong, so the virus writers could start swinging towards the fruity side (and because some Mac users are so idiotic that they think they don't need protection) the impact will be bigger.

So in answer to your multiple choice poll, neither, I personally prefer Linux.

Oh ok... Ah I see, thanks for the info David!

I never knew that the first computer virus was written for Macs.

Oh sorry Ari..

I just switched from Windows to a Mac and I'm not going back. =) I love my MacBook. I got tired of Windows and everything that came along with it.

Oh I see.

I don't own a mac but I used them at this uni thing for a week and then when i had to go back to crummy ol' windows i found it quite difficult. Using a mac is like driving a really nice car.

Any other suggest?

If you have the money then go for a Mac, if you don't have the money buy a PC, as you easily upgrade parts of it.

Windows because I'm more used to it.

Haha, thats the point. I agree with that:)

But sometimes depends of the design too.... I prefer macs, their designs are great. Love it!;)
