So yeah. I had a reeeally bad start for my day.

We're going to a party today with my parents..and i have absolutely nothing to wear,so my mum started to go through my clothes in my closet. And bang, then i remembered that i had hidden one single bottle of wine there

When i saw her reaching for THE door i was like "AAAAAA" which was a bit stupid, hahaha. Of course she opened it and for a second i though she wouldn't see it.. But oh, i was so wrong.

This is the first time they've seen a bottle in my room or in my bag or anything.

And although i drink really rarely (once in 6 months or so) they probably think that i'm an alcoholic now. I mean, the half full bottle was there because i DIDN'T drink it all at once.

Mwah, she didn't react too bad though. She was like "Why is this bottle there? Where did you get it from?? Alcohol does NOT belong to you!!"

And she also let me know we're gonna have a real mum-child talk later today.. (that will be the first ever, duh)

The bad thing is that she said she trusted me (yeah right) but now she's gonna start searching my room every now and then to see if i've hidden any more bottles, hahaha. I told her she's welcome to do that. As i said before, i hardly ever drink so she's not gonna find a thing.

Although now i've gotta take my old bottles somewhere, boo.

So, feel free to tell us your story

awww poor pinky, but hey be happy that she didnt find your porn magazines or your rubber doll with the shape ykw :nice:

But seriously, its not that bad the parent/child talk can be akward but you'll be fine

yea you're right... good thing it wasn't anything worse. though what i dont get is that my parents would react way worse if i has pron magazines rather than alchohol in my room (mind i'm only 17)... but i mean its worse to be interested in sexuality than to be an alchoholic? those that mean that sex is gonna ruin my life?? (and so conceiving me ruined my parents life... pff yeah). that's why we've got sexuality classes at school!

well, about alcohol and my parents. they're quite young, 33 and 35 years old, and they're really great in that question of alcohol. mum told me that i could drink something at parties, but i mustn't be absolutely drunk, anyways it's not a problem not to be drunk at parties, cause i think that it's stupid, to drink alcohol THAT much. and when i want some alcohol, they simply give me it, cause they know that i don't drink alcohol very much. for example, today we were having lunch, and they had beer. and i just felt like having beer as well, so they gave me some, cause they knew i wouldn't drink it all. (actually i've drunk just a little of the beer they gave me..) so i think that we've got a good relationship... ;)

They key is to be straight up with them.

Be overly confident and almost cheezy and tell them how drunk you were last night, they will think your lying and say "Oh right, like you would tell me if you really were."

Then if your caught in the act you can say "I told you!".

I don't smoke weed, but I have and I told my mom the other night that I have done it and that I only do it if I'm going to a concert or something, and she didn't believe me, so if I ever was in the situation were she saw me high, which she wouldn't because I hardly evvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvver smoke weed because it grosses me out, she would be somewhat aware.

I wondered where I left my bottle of wine ;)

^ :laugh3:

i never get in trouble with alcohol because i don't drink. My brother on the other hand, thats an entirely different story:P

hah. I'd rather have parent-child talks (not all the time though :P) than not being listened at all. Which happens to me all the time. The subject doesn't matter, the point is that I never have a chance to explain things. ;) :\

My parents never spoke to me about alcohol, drugs or sex, I was just sort of left to find out on my own haha :P . But I think they'd be OK if I were to wish to talk about anything with them.

Look behing my desk.....hm there are maybe 6 bottles of champagne and 1 bottle of wine....too bad I hate both drinks...:bigcry:

well my parents always trusted me in drugs stuff....I never had to hide anything...and I think even if i started smoking at the age of 15 I would have told them as if it was the most normal thing on earth....I like my parents for that....they taught us that drugs are bad but they didn't forbid it...they were not too strict and I think that made us (me and my older sister) to what we are today.....I think we know when to stop and all that stuff....

My parents know that I wouldn't get drunk with my friends or anything. I drink with my parents sometimes, the occasional drink. Just one, not enough to get drunk. I'm not into the whole getting wasted thing. But I guess it's just that my parents trust me. They don't have a problem with the fact that I want to try alcohol. It's just casual and in good company of others. But I don't like beer. I think it's weird....

to that beer thing. beer's drunk here a lot, it's quite spread amongst young people, and it confirms the fact that the czech republic is one of the biggest consumers of beer.

Even greater than the UK?

Lots of people here drink beer, it's not even a question. It's all young people here ever drink. I just happen to not like the taste of it. :P It's not that great tasting to me.

You're all lucky that you didnt get caugh with a girl in your bedroom in half action:wacko:

I made the poor thing jump off the window

don't know... but the demand is very high...

yes, i'm not surprised you don't like the taste. mostly boys drink it here, it's too bitter for girls, but it depends on the kind of the particular beer. i'm not a beer lover, but i like some special beers.

I've only tried Heineken. It's the only kind my dad drinks, so it's the one that's usually available.

Ah thanks for your responses guys!

Yeah, i think the reason why they're so strict is the fact that i'm their youngest child..and my big sister was kind chaotic when she was 14 - 16 years old. She got back home being so totally drunk and all, phef. I think she even tried drugs (weed or so, nothing worse).

And another thing is that there definitely is some alcoholism in our family. My grandfather was/is one..and his siblings too and their kidos as well. So mum really knows how bad it can get.

And i understand that, they're just worried..

They asked me to explain the whole thing and i told the truth - that i don't drink often at all..and that i don't drink to get drunk (anymore)..and also that i've seen just enough of drunky teenager getting pregnant and having a child when they're just 17 :dozey:

All they said was that they really hope i know what i'm talking about and that i'm telling the truth.

So it's all fine now.. dunno will they let me go anywhere from now on though. I don't think anything will actually change, my mum tends to forget stuff pretty easily :P

I see, that weak crap which Americans call beer.

Wait until you try some proper european beer ;)

i'm happy your not in big trouble or anything, but that was a bit anti-climactic:(

ohhh my mum also thinks that someday i will back in home drunk or a stuff like that i mean i only have one oldest brother but he's wreid .. he doesn't go to parties o discos oftenly.. so.. i'm the one in the famikly who has a real social life and I'm only 16.. my brother who is 18 went for the first time to a disco.. two weeks ago.. and i went for the first time one week ago..

and the thing i tried to explain my parents that i don't drink for getting drunk i drink because when you go out, you just have it for fun.. and also. i disgusst people who gets drunk because they want to get drunk.. it's very sad.. because then you realised that if you he/she wanna get drunk.. just like that.. well then he/she doesn't have anything special to do. :\

Zeoir..

netx time if you want to drink hide the bottle in a better place ;) jajajaja
