October 22, 200718 yr ...says Jo Rowling: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7053982.stm What do you think? Should she have said this or not? Is it good or bad that she didn't include this explicitly in the books? And who else in the series could be gay..? On a sidenote: (copyright @ Slinkers.deviantart.com)
October 22, 200718 yr Well, i thought of it for a second when reading the book. But its a book for children..
October 22, 200718 yr Author Well, i thought of it for a second when reading the book. But its a book for children.. And they can't be gay?
October 22, 200718 yr jawel, It just doesnt fit in the book to me, i dont know. I heard somewhere she wants some more respect for gays..well thats a good thing.
October 22, 200718 yr Author Dat is waar =) Als homo zijnde ben ik daar zeer blij mee ;) But hey, she didn't put it in the books, so there you go :) for exactly the same reasons probably.
October 22, 200718 yr jawel, It just doesnt fit in the book to me, i dont know. I heard somewhere she wants some more respect for gays..well thats a good thing. So maybe his real name was Dumble(back)dore........................
October 22, 200718 yr Author Ben je lesbisch? Poor guy, never had a lover :( Laten we zeggen dat ik iig veel meer op meisjes val dan op jongens ;) Ah yes, the tragedy of unrequited love... Maybe that's what he really saw in that Mirror of Erised ;)

October 22, 200718 yr Oh ok, een vriendin van mij is lesbisch en een vriend homo ;) Yeah i think he saw that..or mayb..he had a crush on harry..he likes young boys  Are you suggesting he was a paedophile too??:stunned:
October 22, 200718 yr As a real harry potter fan..i'd say yes :nice: :P In that case, perhaps a new poll is needed!
October 23, 200718 yr Does it make sense now that everyone knows that he's gay or does it make no difference?
October 23, 200718 yr Does it make sense now that everyone knows that he's gay or does it make no difference? It makes no difference to the plot...
October 23, 200718 yr I bet there'll be a lot of Dumbledores in future gay pride parades. In pink wizard costumes?? I dread to think what they'll be doing with their "wands"................... :stunned:
October 23, 200718 yr I really couldn't give 2 hoots on if a fictional character is gay. And what's wrong with this thread in EA? http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=41414
October 23, 200718 yr It makes a teeny difference in the plot...it explains Grindelwald. But her telling us after the series is over gives me so many questions? :S Did everyone else know or was he in the closet? Was Grindelwald gay too? When characters would be like, "Oh, He's off his rocker" was that a subtle hint to his sexuality?!?! ANSWER ME ROWLING! :P
October 23, 200718 yr It does put a different spin on why he was so close to Harry Yes, but as I've already mentioned elsewhere, that would suggest he was a paedophile too, which is extremely disturbing indeed!!:stunned:
October 23, 200718 yr What's the difference between Albus Dumbledore and Gary Glitter? Glitter got caught
