I have always been thinking whether any coldplayers use irc but now i at least know one uber nerd does :wacko: Ah, i used to love irc. Should really start to do that again, good times..

hahah i dont really used it as much as i used to but if it wasn't for irc or mirc i wouldn't be a coldplayer or met anyone of you :o Long story and since i'm bored i think i'm gonna tell you all mwhaha .So yeah i never really used internet til 2001 and if i used it then it was only to download music from napster (ahhh good old times) There were no torrents or anything so when napster went dow i was going crazy!But fortunately i found this program "kazaa" or something like that and it was pretty cool cos i found music vids from gigs and stuff so i became a maniac downloading vids but most of them looked awful vcd quality and such but once i got to download this vid by radiohead in a great quality (Svcd i think), i noticed that the guy who encoded it added some info to the vid like " if you wanna get more music vids go to musiclive on efnet.irc" or something like that. I was so totally lost cos i didnt even know what msn was by then haha but i searched for it on yahoo( i didnt even use google 6 years ago haha ) and i understood all about mirc and channels and all that nerdy stuff so that's how i got connected woooo! it was a heaven of music vids, just to say i got like 30gbs of coldplay vids in excellent quality among other vids from different bands i adore but i noticed no one ever talked in these channels so i used to type long monologues when i was bored til this guy replied and he was crazy about coldplay and radiohead and all so we started exchanging music files and one fine day he went to a coldplay gig and he joined here and made me join too and i just agreed cos he mentioned a huge muse thread and i was so totally addicted to muse so yeah haha . That's how i ended up here and you know the rest :wacko:

 

Man i wonder where the heck is thom, he used to post a lot here and he was more pervy than you Rolly , believe it or not haha :o

 

We even started some coldplaying channel on irc once to share our coldplay vids with everyone but just 4 people joined and that was it :P

 

Whoa, i must be really bored to tell all this but oh well :wacky: And hey, i didnt know you were a uber nerd too pinky, i bet you were in all the cybersex channels trying to find someone like ykw and fullfill your dreams awww :heart:

IRC stands for Internet Relay Chat. And you can use different kind of programs to use it (mIRC for example) and then you can chat with other people, basically the same way as in msn but the whole irc thingy was created like aages before mns messenger! in 1988 to be exact :lol:

And there are channels in which you can chat with many people or then you can have private chats as well. You can also send files etc etc there..so yep.

Oh yesh! lets do that, you can be the Op of all the ykw channels you want :dance: I remember i was the Op of some radiohead channel ahhh how i loved to ban and kick people :angel:
