December 2, 200718 yr The internet. I was fine without it. I gave it up again when I went somewhere without access for a year- just read the paper alot more instead. But life has re-formed itself around the net. I don't know if it is even possible any more.

I was talking to my next-door neighbour the other day, and she said apart from newspapers and little items like bread & milk which they get from the local shop, they get everything else via the internet.
December 4, 200718 yr I think I already said this on a different thread, but due to lack of funds and a computer, I had to give up the internet for a while, and I thought I was going to go crazy without it,lol. Even though I had TV, radio and newspapers, I still felt like I was missing out on important information...most of it on this forum,:laugh3:. But once the initial withdrawl passed, it wasn't so bad. I could live without it again if I had to.

December 21, 200718 yr i'd give up my desire to be alone most of the time. i mean, i like people, but...i just really enjoy spending time by myself. i think its going to get really annoying at college when people are always going out etc...and i'm just going to want to stay in my room and be on coldplaying!
