Okay, so in my spare time online I am somewhat of a (coldplay inspired)you-tube addict. Last year I realized how many videos of coldplay playing live there were on you-tube and alas...I've seen a disgustingly vast amount of live coldplay performance vids.

While going through segments of glastonbury 2005, I noticed on the setlist from easytoplease.net that they supposedly played "swallowed in the sea" after clocks, right before the encore. To my knowledge there is a you-tube video for every song in that concert EXCEPT swallowed in the sea. Furthermore, I have so far been unsuccessful in finding any decent-quality footage of coldplay performing this song live (despite it being a frequent part of their set list). Swallowed in the sea is part of a small list of album songs that don't seem to correspond with a professional live video (list consists of we never change, a whisper [which doesn't count because it was never on any set list], the hardest part[i think it's only ever been played live once] and twisted logic [never been on a setlist]).

 

So I guess my questions are A. Was swallowed in the sea played during glastonbury '05? and B. Does anyone know where one could find T.V quality footage of it or any other rarely played album track played live? Thanks.

Oh. one last thing. Technically one does exist. The japan acoustic session has a very nice version. but it, obviously is entirely acoustic and done in a little recording room. I guess I'm mainly curious about glastonbury.

I have the concert on DVD and they don't show more than the last 30 or so seconds of the song... I have no clue why but I assumed camera or other technical problems because they have no other reason to leave the song out of the DVD

in the toronto footage before they pulled it off of youtube that was the only video of swallowed in the sea live now its gone and so there are no more live performances of swallowed in the sea.....but if you get luck my friend and get you hands on some toronto footage you've have your performance of it......they have have played we never change live before though i used to have the mp3 file for it.....but my comp got reformated so it got deleted.....it was when they were very young....and they dedicated it to a girl in the audience named kim because she looked very down.....Coldplay is so caring

lol. yeah, I knew "we never change" was often on the setlist for the parachutes tour but, just like swallowed in the sea concert footage on you-tube always seems to have everything but...

well you can go to imeem.com and they have a live version of swallowed in the sea they did it at abbey roads in london.....but as for we never change....don't think i will find that ever again....that was very rare

That'd be brilliant. Also, somebody finally uploaded coldplay's "swallowed in the sea" from Toronto 2006 onto you-tube. It's a whole lot better than I expected(didn't expect the piano, and it was a great backdrop of early X&Y song lists with songs like things I don't understand)
