To be honest it was a boring video especially as the song is quite far fetching,you would have thought they would have a fantastic video for it but instead they go on the safe side.My idea for the the video would be johnny chris guy will all on the backs of these gigantic birds flying really high and they are looking down on the earth and people.They can go through london and NYC Tkyo and the rest and as the song climaxes the go in fast forward. that is an idea,might sound terrible but it might have worked out for them.do you have any ideas on how you would have liked the video to be??

i actually love the video as it is. for a performance-based video, i think it was quite original and entertaining because of the use of the lights and the quick cuts and chris's adorable dancing.

however, i think im just a bit over protective about it because it was that video alone that first got me into coldplay. itll always be special to me.

 

ive got bajillions of ideas for other videos though...

there used to be a thread here for people to post their own music video ideas for coldplay songs and i used to post in it all the time, but i just searched for it and i cant find it...

I think the over-whelming display of neon colors goes a long way in capturringthe essence of the album itself. I think it's a pretty good video...or at least, one of the better coldplay music videos...they don't have terribly good videos really. don't panic, shiver and trouble(US) were cool. but the yellow video I thought was terrible. in my place was okay. GPASUYF was quite good, so was clocks and the scientist actually. fix you was only remotely interesting at the end. talk was okay and the hardest part is...well...hard to figure out what they were trying to do with that one.

the band choose a very good director.. Mar Romanek, who is famous for doing some of the best videos for many artist or bands..

i can't imagine a different video with the song..

it's like when you ask for something only for you.. no one else would have the same as you do..
