Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin have put a bad patch in their marriage behind them, it was claimed today.

 

The pair were repeatedly rumored to be close to breaking up. But pals say they have got over a rough period in the summer when the actress was filming new flick, Iron Man, in Los Angeles.

 

A crew member revealed: “Gwyneth wanted the entire family with her on-set, so Chris would bring [their children] Apple and Moses to her trailer with him almost every day.But Chris turned his wife’s dressing room into a gathering place to hang out with friends and smoke and invited the crew in for little parties. That drove her crazy, and there were fights.”

The couple had not been photographed together for several months, sparking further rumours of a rift. Paltrow had most recently been filming a cooking show with celebrity chef Mario Batali in Spain, while rocker Martin was said to have been working on his band, Coldplay’s latest album.

 

But this week the celebrity couple, who tied the knot in December 2003, were spotted happily sharing a meal at New York restaurant BLT Fish. “When Chris left the table, Gwyn ordered the meal for the two of them,” an onlooker said.

 

“They talked for hours - when a cake was brought to the table next to them, they even joined in singing ‘Happy Birthday.’”

 

Addressing the split speculation last month, spokesman Stephen Huvane said: “[These rumours are] absolutely not true. They have been completely together and barely separated.”

 

He told a US newspaper: “This stems from the fact that both Chris and Gwyneth make a deliberate effort not to be photographed together. She does not take him to any events where there will be press - or if she does, they enter separately. It is their policy not to put their relationship out there for public consumption.”

 

Paltrow, 35, and Martin, 30, have two children together, three-year-old daughter Apple, and son Moses, 19 months. Paltrow has been filming movie drama Two Lovers in New York with Joaquin Phoenix. Martin joined her in the city this week. The couple has a home there, and in the nearby Hamptons holiday resort.

I don't know why the press writes bad things about them and says they are breaking up whenever she is seen without Chris, its obvious that they have never gone out in public together very often, so it doesn't mean they are splitting up.:confused:

Haha - the quote about parties in the trailers is obviously such a load of bull. Like chris brings his babies there everyday so he can chain smoke and have a party with the camera man...sounds a little like cr*p to me! One minute he's reported to constantly be away in the UK doing the album, next minute he's spent all summer in the US puffing away in a trailer with his children! :laugh3:

and they sold their NYC home, im almost positive. theyve got the hamptons one, but thats way far from manhattan, like 3-4 hours drive, so its not like theyre staying THERE right now! besides, the hamptons are literally ABANDONED and dead from october to may.

 

but cute about the "happy birthday"! if i was having a birthday and chris and gwyneth joined in...that would make my birthday!

that would make sense logisitcally, i think, for most people of their celebrity to have a place in NYC, even a small one. i thought it was surprising when they sold their old one (though they did sell it for like $7 million, i read, which is incentive enough, though probably not for them...)

i cant imagine them staying in some hotel, anyway. not if theyre here to work, which both are.

They get paid to print trashy, negative celebrity news, bucause unlike most of us on here, there are a lot of people out there who get off on reading it. If it didn't sell, they wouldn't print it.
