it's interesting, and considering "42" is a possible song name.... however not very creative... lol, then again, we got "X and Y". They need to work on their album names if 42 is the title....

maybe it's not an album cover.. it could be a single's cover..

Whoever faked it did a nice job. It's a little greeting card-ish with the flowers, but for some reason it reminds me of the Parachutes singles. It has the same feeling as those.

yeah, im not believing it for a second. i think its beautiful, but not exactly something i'd expect from coldplay. and it harkens too much back to the parachutes-era singles, as someone's already mentioned.

 

and im also of the mind that 42 is NOT going to be the title. of course i could be totally wrong, but i just have a feeling that we dont know the album name yet, that theyre either breaking from tradition and not having a song of the same name on the album, or theyre keeping one track name secret and using that as the title.

 

so yeah. theres my take on things :rolleyes:

and besides, in prospekts last journal entry, it sounded to me as though they didnt even have the artwork finalized yet. he said "one minute we're over the moon about a new artwork idea..." which means to me that theyre still choosing between several ideas and probably have hardly gotten the art back to view yet and make a final decision.

 

sorry to be harping on this, but im really trying to convince myself not to fall into believing any absurd rumors when theres no confirmed fact. and this has hoax written all over it to me, besides my heart stopping when i saw the thread title.

i hope you're right, i don't love when titles are names of songs. I do like when they are great quotes from songs, like my favorite one of all time: Under the Table and Dreaming by Dave Matthews Band... I hope they take that approach

^singles box set = amazing. though the "fix you" that came with mine was busted so i had to buy a new one from the virgin megastore.

have you got a record player though? otherwise i would say its not worth the $100 (or however much it is in austrailian currency...)

 

yeah, so a leak would totally not mean me putting any less money into coldplay/EMI, but i think it really could hurt them in terms of everyone else so once i ignore my selfishness i dont want it to happen.
