I finished my pre-calculus project today...

It's something I could've simply made in MSPaint, but nay--it's composed entirely off EQUATIONS.

And a small piece of the code...:

A sad excuse for a thread, or utterly awesome?

i say utterly awesome! thats pretty cool:glasses2:

Wow that's amazing!! Good job!!

(justin you stole my smiley!!)

haha, i couldn't resist. He's been so popular lately, i had to give him a shot

As much I hate pre-calc, that is frickin ace. :nice:

(isn't it Briggins smiley?? ;))

That's cool. But it mustve taken you awhilst. How much time did you have to do that lol?

And just wait till you get to Calculus II - you can then do all that in reverse!:laugh3: (Solve these (shape) equations for volume using any of three methods - cylindrical shells, rotation of a plane, or by "slicing". BTW - You have 1 minute... good luck!:P) And it's just so useful! (well, it could be; or you could calculate the volume just using a computer sim. that fills the void and counts data points, or if it's a real object, you could just fill it with fluid, and measure the volume..) I think it might be used for computer simulations (programming), if you would want to do that.. Assuming you could fit a formula to the object!:laugh3: Hmm.. where is this stuff used???

:D Glad you all like it. :)

Haha yeah these are just the baby steps toward programming... or visual programming. :D

I'm planning to be a visual & game programmer so yeah I'll be continuing my math all the way past Calc II, I bet. :freak:

YEA!!! GREAT JOB ALYSSA!:hat:

Don't go crazy just yet - wait till you've been programming a few years!! (it's a blissful madness, I've been told..):jester: it is fun to finally figure out how something works like those equations.. kind of an aha! moment (nerdvana..:laugh3:) I dig it too.

that's what i was thinking too

but hey, well done Alyssa! that's something i could NOT do by myself for sure!

(isn't it Briggins smiley?? ;))

Well..yeah...Briggs actually adopted him...but you know we share him.

Ha that's cool. All I do in visual design is make stupid forms and right awkward code! :dozey:
