How will you listen to LP4?

Featured Replies

Are you the type of person who skips directly to certain tracks? Or do you streamplay it? Where will you play it? Will you listen to it with anyone else?

Personally, I'll streamplay it in a car, sitting in the centre(4-speakers= good sound). I'm not sure whether I'd want anyone else around, cos they might wanna talk, I'd rather just sit and listen, uno?

Can't wait to be honest!!

At first I'd probably just listen to 30 second bits of tracks you know, and maybe the songs which have had a lot of press about them or singles or whatnot. Then later that night I'll put it all on my iPod and listen to it all start to finish.

I will listen it laying down on my bed, alone, with a earphones (better sound) from the begening to the end:)

I wont skip any song.

i will be in a dark room with all lights off, on my own in the corner of my room on my bed and with the music on very loud, probably not being able to stop myself from singing and dancing around my room but trying ever so hard to stay composed and just let the music take me away, to new places!

Ill just get the CD from the store and if ive passed my test will go there in my own car but if not i will go there and go home, put it on the ipod and lock myself in my room and be amazed at how brilliant it is!

It's hard to say. I got the Speed Of Sound single in advance, so it was all I had for a while...and I listened to it nonstop, but once I got the album, at the same time as everyone else, I sat in a good surround sound environment with wine, candles and my then partner and soaked it in!:D

My new partner's a fan, so either way, we'll enjoy it, but it will be different since X&Y was a big part of my last relationship. To be honest, I don't know if I'll ever hear a Coldplay album the same way again, no matter how great it is...and it will be great!

I`ll probably lay down in my bed or sit out in the beautiful spring listen to it,

from the begining to the end.

Sweet. Yeah, darkness is the way to go.

But in saying that, I'm not gonna be getting it at nighttime, rather..when the stores open. So, I'll have to settle for mid-morning sunlight.

I'll call Bebe over, we'll go put to the garden (or the pool) plug in the CD player somehow and listen to it start to finish. For songs that have a pause between them I'll stop it and we'll discuss it for a bit and then go on to the next track.

Then, that night, I'll immerse myself completely in it....'breathing the music'; as it says in my siggy.

Oh I remember how I first listened to X&Y the day it came out... After racing my friend (who is now my boyfriend, hehe!) to be the first to get the album the moment it's released, I ran home, put the CD into the hifi with its massive speakers, attached another set of speakers into the hifi, turned off the lights, and just sat there with my siblings, listening.

Darkness helps us to completely drown in the music...

jesus christ what an useless thread

i listened to X&Y in the car on the way home from getting it, but this year i plan on downloading it the second it becomes available on itunes (hopefully this is at midnight on the day of release!), and i guess then i'll immediately put it on my ipod and listen to it straight through in my bed (at home!!) in the dark.

ohmygod, i can't wait for this.

Ditto.

Slightly off topic, I had another LP4 dream last night, and it was so vivid i can still sort of remember the tune. Its just torturing me right now, I don't think I can wait much longer. I'm so excited.

i'll listen it all calmy... enjoying the music and trying to get the lyrics. i will play it on my laptop surely, may be with my headphones... but i don't know it all yet, as i don't know when i could have the album  because when it has been said that will be realised i won't be at home yet :bigcry:

but be sure that if i like it, i will listen it completely many times and even sing it aloud hehehe.

i listen to them when im near my pc.... and i can still repeat them more then once...

it happens every day.....

lol. it just shows how crazy we're about this LP4, but of course i already thought about it myself.

when "X & Y" came out i went to the shop right after school, got home and played a few seconds of each track.

i guess i'm gonna do it a bit differently this time.

i might even skip maths class or physics or the whole goddamn day just to get it really early! i guess i'm in front of the shop waiting for them to open. :wink3: then i'll get home and play it really loud. every single song. i'll just put it in and let it play.

man, i cannot wait for that day!

Yeh, when X&Y came out, I left home before the shops opened for some lunch thing..so, I got home after midday and sprinted to the shops (it was a sunday, and luckily they were open). When I got home, I put it on the stereo and well yeah...Square One really loud :D

I will listen to the album beginning to end in either vinyl or compact disc, preferably vinyl.

With Parachutes, I listened while playing video games, then went back and re-listened. AROBTTH and X&Y I listened to on car ride home from Best Buy where I bought them. I had to listen to X&Y about 3 times thru before realizing it was good. At first listen I just thought they sounded like U2 and Radiohead copies. Then I got to Fix You...

I guess I'll just sit and listen over and over till I like the whole thing.

Damn reading this got me so excited!! :laugh3:

I wish I was sly enough to skip classes to get the new album. :P

is the vinyl going to be released on the same day as the CD and digital forms? if it is and if i can find it in my local record store, i'm TOTALLY buying it ASAP! but i always thought that took a little longer to be released. however, there's something just more romantic and real about vinyl records, i think, and i wish that could be the way i first listen to LP4 without wasting any time waiting for it...

I'm gonna get myself a second hand walkman (very 90s, I know) and put LP4 in and listen to it the old way; With really big headphones :D It'll feel more 'traditional' and plus, I-pods can sometimes make the quality a little worse (well, so can walkmans)
