Jonny's TR2

Featured Replies

What Song's does Johnny use the TR2 for? It seems to be absent from photos I've seen of his pedal board circa 2005 onward. Yet it sounds like he still uses some kind of tremolo on songs played since then...:\

The tremolo effect is most likely generated from his DL-4. This pedal has like 16 delays built in and some of the delays have multiple effects with them. There is one I discovered the other day that has a delay with some sort of phase shift component. Hope that helps.

I know the DL4 can creat Tremolo(ish) Effects, but I didn't stop to think he was using them in that way. Thanks for bringing up the possibility.

well the great example of his tr-2 is in spies ... around the second 55 you can apreciate the sound of jhonny ...

cheers..

you can here his TR2 only on "the hardest part" he turn it ons when he play that little kind of solo at the middel of the song. but he sometimes removes it from his pedalboard ; so he doesnt used it often , not a effecct you should buy for his sound

Thanks, I knew what the TR2 sounded like, I was just wondering why it was dropped from the Pedal board for the Twisted Logic Tour.

For the hardest part though. I think he gets his Tremolo effect with the Tremolo arm on his Jazzmaster, could be wrong on that though...
