March 22, 200818 yr With this new perceived darker sounding Coldplay and the attitude of we'll do what we want even if you don't like it, does this pave the way for Twisted Logic to make it into forthcoming setlists? It may be more appropriate for it to make an appearance now due to their shift in sound than during the Twisted Logic tour.
March 22, 200818 yr i doubt it. not really a concert song in my opinion, but it'd be nice to see once in a while
March 22, 200818 yr I'd like to think of it as a 'transition' to the new album, but Til Kingdom Come kinda gets in the way...hehe. But I guess maybe bonus tracks don't count? :P
March 22, 200818 yr i dont know, i'm not anticipating VLVOD sounding much like X&Y, so i don't know. i think they'll just play the core X&Y songs like "speed of sound" and "square one" (and hopefully "swallowed in the sea") with the core AROBTTH and parachutes songs ("clocks" "yellow" "the scientist" "trouble"; all those) regardless of sound or theme.
March 22, 200818 yr Yes, they will play all the core songs for sure. But I reckon that at some gigs, they will only choose to play new material, to promote the album. Haha, but since when are my predictions EVER right? :laugh1:
March 22, 200818 yr ^that would be interesting, i think, but i have to say that i would probablybe a tad disappointed not to hear some certain songs from other albums. well, of course this probably depends on how much i like VLVOD after i get over the initial "OMG NEW ALBUM--I LOVE IT" phase. because in retrospect, X&Y was good, but not fabulous in my opinion, and if i went to see them on the last tour and they only played X&Y songs, i might have been a little let down. i can never imagine them NOT playing "clocks" and "yellow" at the very least, i have to say. no matter how many albums they put out (well, ok, up to about 7 maybe), i think they're probably going to play at least ONE song from each album at most concerts. of course, i'm famous for being wrong as well...
March 22, 200818 yr No no, makes a lot of sense. Thats much more likely to happen anyway, just the fact that fans want too hear all the classics pretty much garuntees that they will play older songs. But then again, we could be all wrong, and they end up just playing songs from In Rainbows instead!
March 22, 200818 yr No. if it was ever going to be played it would've been on the "twisted logic" tour. It's not meant to be played live, it's not that it's too dark, it's that the over dubbed guitars don't work out.
March 22, 200818 yr Twisted Logic would be such a great concert song! Will said "it's going to be fun to play live", so they have to play it some time. I'll cry if they don't play it for the next tour.
March 22, 200818 yr They didn't play Twisted logic on the twisted logic tour? thats just dumb its my favorate coldplay song after A Rush of Blood to... Not a good song to play live? its the perfect finaly as it borrows so much from that legendary climax 'A Day in the life' by the beatles.

We should all savour that phase because as soon as it dies away, we basically will be in X&Y mode until the next album...
March 22, 200818 yr yeah, but who knows, the whole thing could be a bluff... ok, someone dies if the whole thing is a bluff and yes, there will be blood :sneaky:

March 22, 200818 yr I'm sure they said they said that when they tried it live it sounded rubbish or something like that. So decided to just not do it. I think anyway.
March 22, 200818 yr Definately an X&Y themed song and imo could be performed live acoustically if at all which i doubt somewhat. ^^haha Juno, best film, nice;)

Everything's not lost doesn't sound like AROBTTH Amsterdam Doesn't Sound like X&y ¬¬

March 23, 200818 yr I think most of the new album will be like the darker stuff from X&Y and Parachutes. Picture an entire album of Twisted Logic, Low, Trouble, High Speed, and Spies. Ooohhh Im excited!
