Well at the moment it seems like it'll be 42 but as the latest tracklisting shows, they do have a habit of being indecicive or tricking us so it may not be 42 at all! There've also been indicators towards Cemeteries of London and Violet Hill as well, or maybe not?

Who knows? Probaly 42 because its the most different and I think they want to show everyone that theyve changed their formula. Im soooo excited.

Since the suggested title before was 'Viva la vida or Death and All His Friends', so i think Death and All His Friends would be the first single. I was just guessing...

i don't think viva la vida will be a single..."parachutes," "AROBTTH," and "X&Y" were never singles, and only one of them was ever really even played in concert. usually the title track is pretty played-down on the album itself, which is interesting.

Being serious, it will be 42 most likely. I can predict that LIJ / ROL might be the 2nd single as they always seem to release a 'softer' track after the 1st (excluding shiver as coldplay were not that massive then), Yellow > Trouble, In my place > The Scientist, Speed of sound > Fix you, see the pattern?

see, when they say that they're going to release a song or two, i'm not really counting them as singles with B-sides and videos. i think 42 will be the legit single that's put out on itunes and on CD with a video and b-sides, but that we'll get a track released on the website only or something without anything else attatched to it. i don't think they'll even count it as a single; it'll just be a taster of what's to come.

I picked 42...but I'm not ruling out Violet Hill...as it was supposedly going to be a promo. So maybe they thought it was good enough to go on the album and be a first single?

I think it's interesting about having Lovers/Reign as a 2nd single. Although, i think it's too early to speculate over that, when there is so much to happen before the 2nd single. However, this is the song I want to hear the most, and I want to know what the deal is with the double name...

..maybe it's like "Weird Fishes/Arpeggi"??

Even though Cemeteries Of London was dubbed by the media as the most likely first single, it has the amazing amount of 0 votes so far. Seems like 42 is a sure thing. Now let's watch Coldplay fool us all again.
