One Coldplayer on the forum said they heard from EMI that the album art would look a little like Delacroix's Liberty Leading the People. Maybe it's true? I hope.

I made my own little album cover.

I sincerely hope not.

I don't think the painting in full will be the cover - we've heard coldplay using lots of influences of famous old painters (no pun intended! :P) and so maybe the cover will be like a mixture of frida khalo and this.

but taking into account that premiere concert will be in Barcelona and that it will be the 2nd centenary since spanish war against french invasion.. could it be the cover, but if it will be related with it... i sincerely prefer that they put some Goya painting in the cover... The Colosus would be amazing imo. (i also thought that this painting is a great one for an album cover, very strong).

 

But i really doubt that their album will be that spanish influenced :uhoh: it would be great if it does, since no spanish artists has seem to mind of this anniversary at all. :confused:

I think the cover will be a collage of different paintings... here I modified the idea of cover I posted in another thread (made with the screenshoots) adding more paintings... just to give an idea...

as they had been working on Barcelona's cathedral, it wouldn't be that strange i think. :)

i have to say that i'm not a fan of the whole "using an already famous work of art" idea. i was hoping for something completely original. we'll see though. but the klimt one is so perfect that i wouldn't have a problem if they used it :P

I'll just be a little surprised if they actually have a cover with nudity on it.

 

The Klimt painting is freakishly perfect for the title, though.

maybe the klimt painting will have a slipcase for it's special edition...

VEry nice, ColdplayCold, although I doubt they'd use that font for the name, but still lovely! And the others are all beautiful too. I don't think Chris will be on the cover, but that's still a nice design, yamfox. I like your other one better though.

 

I'm not going to speculate, but I think these all capture the title and tracklist.:)
