The "Save the foreigners from their crappy radio stations with no Coldplay" thread

Featured Replies

Ack! I already made a radio station thread. :)

I really enjoyed XFM the other night. That's better than even our 'good' North American stations.

Heh, you think that's bad? You should come to America. I envy the Brits, but at least we can get XM satellite and internet radio.

O man, Australian radio really does suck. Every blue moon you might get some Coldplay - but never anything like 'in my place' or 'shiver' etc. Only the overplayed ones like clocks, fix you or to a rarer extent yellow.

We only get crap nowadays...

One that allowed the users to try and get Violet Hill played on their radio station so people can at LEAST hear it, Trace? :)

I KNOW :bigcry:

Actually the last Coldplay song I remember being played was Talk... but so far these are the ones they play:

Clocks

Talk

Yellow (RARE)

Fix You (also rare)

Speed of Sound (rarerarerarerarerare)

It's mainly Clocks and Talk down here...

Same...last i remember was talk. ive heard the hardest part once or twice...but that's bout it. Speed of Sound ive heard like..once and that was wen it was released.

I'm over clocks on the radio...

It's not all bad in America, Saffire. You guys do have WFNX, Boston, and you can listen to them on line. I'm not sure if they've played VH yet or not, but they play tonnes of Coldplay, so if they haven't, they will soon.

http://www.fnxradio.com

here also. everyday they just played crappy stupid damned songs.

coldplay songs?

- just clocks (once a year)

checking list's from the local alternative station here in chicago (101.9) They play Clocks at least once a day. I have nothing against the song its just they have so many other good songs air worthy! I emailed them about this, maybe we all should start complaining to the stations

nononoooo radio here DOES SUCK. i agree with saffire. theres maybe 1 or 2 dece stations (apparently WFNX is one of these) but really most of them are complete shit. if you want to puke just turn to Kiss 108 here in MA.

I heard Yellow the other night, it made my day.

record:

Talk (1st version) 5

Hardest part 3

Speed of Sound 2

Yellow/Clocks 1

Radio is AWFUL,I cant wait till my boss gets Satellite this summer-then I'll hear Coldplay while I'm at work :D

Tracie, what thread haven't you made?

when i was in India in 2001 i remember listening to Coldplay's videos like Yellow on MTV select show and new releases i think so.

and then in 2002 and 2003 also i remember some song of Coldplay not so certain about it because i was so busy those years with my career that i even didn't even get to watch the movies or music so much.

in 2005 speed of sound, fix you, talk all the singles came on vh1 right they were released.

and also yeah live 8 show.

and then in december at the end in one of the FM channels like Rainbow FM 101.9 to play the speed of sound track as the top hits of 2005 at the end of the year as they counted which are the tracks in the world the entire year that made hype.

but now i came to US i don't know what's the scene there now.

Well our radio station is crap, but at least they play Coldplay.

Violet Hill apparently just won the "Battle of the Block Rockin' Beats" tonight. Didn't hear it myself, I've developed an allergy to local radio it's so bad.

So anyway, looks like Coldplay will be on every two hours or so again for the next several months until all the haters start going around asking for all the Coldplay fans' heads on pikes. Eek. You think they could learn to play more than 10 or so different songs a day, but no. They just have to drive everyone mental.

Look at the playlist if you don't believe me, it's pretty much Madonna, Rhianna, Madonna, Headly, Rhianna, Madonna, Nelly Furtado. *sigh*

Tracie, what thread haven't you made?

Lol. All the ones you made first!:laugh3:

We have a new alternative station here http://www.989. fm (I think). They've played Shiver, Trouble, Yellow, Clocks, GPASUYF (!), and many more. I haven't heard VH on there yet, but I'm aure it will surface soon.

Yeah, Boston...any station calling itself KISS anything is likely to suck! FNX were the first, as far as I know, to play the new NIN track last week...that tells you something.
