Don't think I fit the the typical Coldplay fan profile..

I am a 37 yo mom to 6 boys, who is teased about loving Coldplay. As a matter of fact my oldest boys love to use that line on me from a movie, "You know how I know you're gay....you like Coldplay" (don't throw darts please!). Know what? That just makes me turn it up LOUDER, it's my house afterall. My 13yo has been caught humming "Voilet Hill"...HAH! I've converted one at least! Actually, the ONLY person I know IRL that likes Coldplay is my husband, I think they grew on him because I play them so much. Now I await for tickets to go on sale so I can go see them, but my husband isn't real crazy about seeing them as it's pretty expensive. I know he would go to make me happy, but would love to go with someone who loves them as much as I.

Sorry for the long intro, am I the only middle-aged groupie here?

welcome here (dunno your name :embarassed:)

don't worry there are more middle-aged posters here ;) them are so cool people, as we all.

about the concert check meetups thread ;) i'm sure that you'll can meet many coldplayers.

Hello!!!! Welcome to the board... I'm sure that you'll find ppl here that share your love for Coldplay!!!!

Welcome!!

Yeah, i've also seen that movie!! i don't remember well the name, but i think is that one about a 40-year-old virgin boy?:laugh3::lol:

Correct me if i am wrong, please:D.

I'm not a mom, but I'm 38...and what's this 'middle-age' crap:lol:? My best friend who got into Coldplay at the same time as me is now 51, and a mother of 2 college-age boys. So I don't really think there's a profile. I remember the olden days when older fans were all Coldplay had, lol. Anyway, sorry for the long post. Welcome and enjoy the forum!:D:D:D

EDIT: And fear not. THere will be lots of people our age at the concert. I hope you go, and I hope you have a blast!!:)

Thanks for the welcomes. Actually I have never referred to myself as middle-aged, just feel old around here. Reading the favorite groups post...never heard of 75% of them!

A lot of them are well worth checking out. Esp. the ones out of Canada and the UK.

Bear with me, new to this, I copy and pasted my last post, but it didn't look like the others. Anyway...where is this meetups thread? Can't find it. thanks for your help.

I am going to the concert, even if by myself. So bummed because it's my 20 yr class reunion that night too.:veryangry2: but there'll be another in 5 years, can't guarantee I'll get to see coldplay again though.
