May 18, 200818 yr Hey everyone. This is my first thread here, but I thought I'd share this quote from Wikipedia. I can't find the source nor do I see it on any private or public torrent sites, but here it is.... "Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends[1] is the fourth studio album by British band Coldplay. It is scheduled to be released on 12 June 2008 in the UK and 17 June 2008 in North America. The project is largely produced by Brian Eno.[2] Coldplay have released two singles from the record, "Violet Hill" and "Viva la Vida"; the latter has entered Top 10 singles charts around the world.[citation needed]. The album leaked in it's entirety to p2p file sharing websites on the 17th of May 2008." It is now the 18th of May here in New York, so that means it must be somewhere out there in the P2P pipeline. I'm not home so I can't try and grab it. Please, post with any information! (it's wikipedia, it could be shit)
May 18, 200818 yr hmm, the fact that it's wiki makes me wonder. interesting find, though! anyone that knows what they're doing with P2P stuff...wanna have a look, just to see?
May 18, 200818 yr Author Can anyone check Kazaa? I want to buy this album but my life would be complete if I can listen to VLVODAAHF.
May 18, 200818 yr Author Ya, I checked demonoid, the pirate bay, waffle.fm, & what.cd. The only reason I still have hope is that it may not have made it to a torrent yet since it was just reported on wikipedia. I hope its true but my gut says its not.
May 18, 200818 yr Author nah, its a friends account and he doesn't have any even for me at the moment. Sorry. If I can get this album I'll have enough upload to give everyone invites though...heh.
May 18, 200818 yr Author its killing me that I cant even check Kazaa. I don't want to install it on this computer. Not to mention, I don't want to risk downloading on their ISP.
May 18, 200818 yr i am sure wikipedia is referring to this torrent: http://isohunt.com/torrent_details/43203728/Coldplay?tab=summary some stupid guy named it Viva La Vida - but it's actually the 5 songs that we have so far (Viva La Vida, Violet Hill, A Spell A Yell A Rebel, Lost? (Acoustic Version and Life In Technicolour (rough cut) + old "How We See The World")
May 18, 200818 yr God, why cant you people just wait? Obviously the band doesnt want us hearing the album until its actual release date. Duh... Why cant you get a grip and WAIT A MONTH?!
May 18, 200818 yr Why cant you get a grip and WAIT A MONTH?! Totally agree. We have waited this long, got like 4 or 5 songs to keep us going if you wish, I *think* everyone can hold out a little longer...:dozey:
May 18, 200818 yr God, why cant you people just wait? Obviously the band doesnt want us hearing the album until its actual release date. Duh... Why cant you get a grip and WAIT A MONTH?! Heh, always fun when people claim to know what the band wants. I say the band would want us to hear it right now, but in full quality and the full CD rather than just a few songs (after all, that's what they keep repeating in interviews). Remember how Martin even offered to copy the CD for the NME guy? Yes I realize that was a joke but it also means he's not as serious about this whole thing as EMI. It's EMI that doesn't want you to hear the CD yet and buy it in the stores in a month. Not Coldplay. Now that we've got that out of the way, do you honestly think your posts work? Pretty much everyone here is going to be buying the CD anyway, who cares if they download it first or not, it's not going to hurt you in any way. If you honestly think Coldplay want to make their fans wait for another month despite already having finished the album (rather than this time being used to hype the album, give time for reviewers to review the album etc etc - which is all EMI's "fault") and you want to feel like a better person than the rest of us for not downloading it, then by all means do so. Just please, please stop bothering everyone about it.
