Yet another hint at a double album...

Okay, check this out:

On Coldplay's official Youtube page, look what it says in their profile:

"Coldplay's official YouTube profile

Coldplay have been a band since January 16th 1998, when we lost a demotape competition on XFM in London. Our type of music is very heavy soft rock. We are about to release our fourth album:

Viva La Vida

or

Death And All His Friends"

Does anyone else find "Viva La Vida" and "Death And All His Friends" being on two seperate lines just a little suspicious? ;)

if they're the separate albums the title should be

Viva la vida

and

death and all his friends

no

:laugh3:

Well that isn't really a stand out observation. If it said "check out our new albums" then I would be high five-ing you hardcore for spotting this.

It looks as though they just didnt have enough room to fit the whole title in that tiny space so they hit the enter/return key a few times... :dozey:

i tunes have changed it from the full name 2 viva la vida...and also one of the news updates on coldplay.com have called viva la vida (but that might be a short version)

Yup its been like that for a couple weeks on iTunes :nice:

Its also only VLV on Amazon.com and FYE now...

maybe the full title doesn't fit in one line?? but several internetstores in holland they changed the name into VLV, but at play.com it's still Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends

that would be awesome because then their contract commitment to Capitol/EMI/Parlophone is complete.... and they can then go the Radiohead route and make their own music on their own label-less label!!!!! Good thinking boys!!! ;)

Maybe the new album title is being changed to Viva La Vida because their new label is going to be....

DEATH AND ALL HIS FRIENDS

I believe I read in an article recently they said they weren't going to do a Radiohead and leave their label

well on the Extras page at coldplay.com they have new and old songs on it, which didnt make the album..so maybe they will have two albums

Can't remember the exact quote, but in the NME the other week (the one with the free 7inch) they were given a tour of The Bakery. The journalist commented on a list of songs labelled "Flotsam & Jetsam" that were written on a wall. They hinted at something happening with these songs...

... I think something else is coming

Wahh?? Where did you read that? Do you have a link to some text from the mag or can you type it up? :wideeyed:

The journalist was writing about "Famous Old Painters" and "Glass of Water",

...songs which ultimately failed to make the final cut (though intriguingly, both names feature on a whiteboard in The Bakery's studio, under the words 'Flotsam & Jetsam'. "Just some ideas we have..." says Buckland, politely refusing to elaborate).

Haha "politely refusing to elaborate"...

Something is fishy, Jonny boy :dozey:

Thanks RedGirl!

Also on the US amazon.com site, the list price for VLV is $18.99. That seems like the price of a double album to me! :) I hope!

Are you sure? I just pre ordered it for $9.99

Actually, post edited. I'm not that cruel, really. :P

But yes, I definitely think that we'll be hearing these extra songs one way or another. They seem to good to waste. And it sounds like they definitely have a plan for them.

This is all so confusing

I just want some answers:cry:
