I don't care that we have to wait, but I don't understand how EMI can be all psycho about it not leaking...having DJs and Jurnos searched and stuff just to get to listen to it, and then have release dates almost a week apart. Aren't they asking for people to steal it for free? You know once it's out, someone is going to upload it.

agreed. i think it's a ridiculous practice, to release things so far apart. it's basically saying "here, take it!" to the rest of the world.

that said, i think it's kind of ridiculous to complain about getting it later AND to refuse to download it. i'm not good at being blunt, but really, if you want it sooner, you can have it. you can bet that most of the leaks after june 11 are going to be complete and in full quality, so i personally don't see the big deal about downloading it as long as you're going to buy it later anyway. and the artwork will be on the way too. of course, to each their own about how they want to experience it, and i think that's great if you want to wait. but really, if you're going to wait then you're going to wait. no use complaining about it because it's not going to change, and you can fix your plight if you want to.

i'm not used to being brutally honest, so forgive me :P i don't mean to rank on anyone in particular, i'm just saying it's not a catch-22 like people seem to be thinking it is. you download it and satisfy the three years of waiting, or you tack on 6 more days by your own choice.

and experiencing it with the board is really important to me, providing that i can physically GET ON this site that day with all the webtraffic! so bring on the leak!!

awwwww I have someone that supports me! yay! *high 5!* I'm gonna make a thread about not waiting! lol

Voila! Done. I like your sig picture btw

yeah that one

I'm pretty anxious about the whole thing too. I don't understand why the album is coming out five whole days after the UK. Are they shipping them by boat? I could fully understand one day, or maybe two, but five? I agree, it's like the album is wrapped in secrecy, but they expect us to wait a week longer. That's a lot to ask when the majority of us have grown accustomed to living in a world of instant gratification. I don't like torrenting music, because I find it dishonest and it cheats hard working musicians out of their money. Or their labels "hard" earned money. ;) I'm sure that anyone on this board that downloads it early will buy the album anyway. Wouldn't it be great to download this early and get slapped with a big ol' lawsuit by the RIAA?

Private sites ftw! Ha.

I have gotten a warning letter from the RIAA before, bullshit though because it was at college and the floor had a shared connection, everyone on the floor got one

lol!

Im from the US and you better believe I will be downloaded the second it comes out!!!

LEAK. LEAK. LEAK. LEAK.

(Sorry, I'm not American :P but thought I'd give my two cents.)

First off interesting thread. We Australians are sitting in the middle of UK and USA release dates, it is released on the Saturday here. So its a bit better. When it is released in the UK it will be evening here so thats no issue, but Thursday and Friday will seem long days.

But basically as long as you can refrain going into the boards reviews and leaks threads, if you don't want to hear it, try and have a bit of will power (it will be hard!). 6 days isn't outrageously bad. It may seem like it, but its not. Its like how movies get different release dates, its a shame but meh you can't really change it. Just get pumped up for it! This (probably!) brilliant album will be worth 6 days wait...
