Yup, it's not fair. Not at all. But what are we to do? What I'm going to do whether people care or not is listen to the album once it hits Japan. Then get my preorder. Then I'll have my cake and eat it too.

Agreed. There's no way I'm waiting an extra week. Its COLDPLAY. Its been three years. If there's a leak/upload before the 17th, then you better not get between me and a computer. I've pre-ordered it on iTunes AND I'm gonna buy the CD. But I can't stand to sit around and do nothing when I could be listening to what could possibly be some of my favorite music of all time. It just seems silly to wait. And I respect some of your decisions to wait and get the full experience with the CD case and all (as well as higher quality if the leak is bad quality) but honestly, are we reading a book or are we LISTENING to the new album of greatest band in the land, locked in a dark room with our eyes closed, and with the stereo at full volume? Cause that's what I'll be doing as soon as I can get hands, or keyboard and mouse, on this music. Does anyone agree with THAT? ;)

benwest96-not sure about video games but movies are usually released here first because majority of them are made in Hollywood? Neither of which have anything to do with Coldplay.

 

For those of us who don't have the benefit of 24-hour Starbucks, past presidents like Adams, Lincoln, Roosevelt, Kennedy and the all-round amazingness that is the United States of America you have to let us bitch about something! C'mon!:D

Agree as well. I already preordered the CD, see no reason not to download a little early

Swings and round abouts. Uk gets the album before America, America gets the world tour before everyone else. Personally id rather have the late album and have the world tour first instead Coldplay will be touring in Britian last when there worn out and tired but at least there touring here.

I don't care that we have to wait, but I don't understand how EMI can be all psycho about it not leaking...having DJs and Jurnos searched and stuff just to get to listen to it, and then have release dates almost a week apart. Aren't they asking for people to steal it for free? You know once it's out, someone is going to upload it.

I for one am not even going to pretend I would last an hour if I knew it had leaked. Plus I have this feeling itunes will release it early. They have a tendency to do that kind of thing.

Well, so much for this being an "American Coldplayers Only" post!:laugh3: Besides, they say the best is always saved for last, and maybe in some peculiar way, knowing it has been leaked or released elsewhere will make it even better, since once you hear reviews, it heightens the expectations..
