Coldplay have scored their biggest ever hit on the US singles chart.'Viva La Vida', the title track from the band's upcoming fourth album, climbs from ten to three on this week's Billboard Hot 100, eclipsing the number eight peak of their 2005 single 'Speed Of Sound'.

Rapper Lil Wayne remains at number one with 'Lollipop' this week, while Leona Lewis sticks at two with 'Bleeding Love'.

The only new track in the top ten comes from pop singer Katy Perry, who leaps from 21 to five with 'I Kissed A Girl'.

NIce to see them beating Justin :D

Wow you Americans still like Leona Lewis eh?

She's like the only really successful one who has won our pop idol/pop stars/x factor competitions.

All other 9 songs in the Top 10 are bullcrap :dozey:

At least the number one isn't THIS AMERICAN BOYYYY TAKE ME ON A TRIP I LIKE TO SEE ELLL AYYYY, TAKE ME ON A TRIP I LIKE TO GO SOME WHARRR, I REALLY WANT TO, COME PICKIN WIF YOU, YOULL BE MY - :dead:

That song is terrible. It's number one here. Bullshit.

Still. BEAT THE CRAP OUTTA BLEEDING LOVE AND LOLLIPOP. Oh and good to see it's beating Four Minutes and Love In This Club, that's a fawkin' start.

YAY for Coldplay!! And Im sure when SOS was no8 all the another in the top 10 were also crap!!!!!!

Well considering they got blocked by fricken... Crazy Frog :veryangry2:

It seems the mainstream is taking a liking to Coldplay's songs more than last time though :dozey: let's see whether they stop being ignorant for once

I'll bet you ANYTHING in 2010 if we don't have another album after this 2009 one Coldplay will be considered in bad taste again. ANYTHING.
