August 30, 200817 yr I loved the west coast. Los Angeles, San Diego, very cool places. Lots of things to do, fun, etc. Hollywood and all that with the movie sets. Plus San Fran, L.A. and San Diego are all relatively close to each other. See celebrities homes, Rodeo Drive and stuff. Then second choice would probably be New York after that. They are very different places and you go to each for different reasons, depends what you wanna do. Yeah i think i'd like it too because of the warmth  I think i'd have to ask my mum too. She's paying for it after all :P I'd really love to go the New York though.. it's a place everyone talks about so it'd be super cool to actually be there There's no answer to this question. It depends on what u wanna see. Why don't you go to a place with a suitable flight route! Don't u have some cheap flight route from Helsinki to NYC? At least it would be more comfortable in terms of travelling. But... I would go to Chicago. :laugh3: Yeaah i knoow :bigcry: i just have no idea where i want to go! I'd love to go to all those places but i just can't choose :( I actually think we will check all the flight prices and choose one of the cheapest ones.. Unless the flight is to some weeeird place we don't even want to go :P I'd also like to go to Chicago :wacky:
August 30, 200817 yr I haven't done any travelling this summer but my brother in laws came back from Dubai the other day and they were telling me all these crazy stories about the place. Took some awesome pictures as well
August 30, 200817 yr Dididii, my mum promised be about 6-8 years ago that she'll take me to the states. All the other family members have been there..except me :disappointed: My mum used to travel a lot in usa because of her job and first she went to NYC with my dad, then to Miami with my older brother and finally to San Francisco with my sister but nowhere with me :bigcry: sooo, first we were planning to go somewhere near (europe) to celebrate my 18th birthday with my mum and my sister (a girls trip hehe :P) We went to London for my sisters 18th birthday buuut i don't really want to go anywhere in Europe at the moment.. So then she suggested that maybe she could finally take me to usa as she promised  I just have NOO idea where i want to go there :uhoh: New York? Philly? Miami? (maybe not, i don't think i'd like the fake thin people ), LA? San Francisco? Any suggestions? May I suggest Las Vegas, Nevada, Miss Rolle? :greedy: :wacky: I haven't done any travelling this summer but my brother in laws came back from Dubai the other day and they were telling me all these crazy stories about the place. Took some awesome pictures as well  Ohhh, Dubai! That's a cool place! Could you share with us one of these crazy stories, if you don't mind? :)
August 31, 200817 yr May I suggest Las Vegas, Nevada, Miss Rolle? :greedy: :wacky: Ohhh, Dubai! That's a cool place! Could you share with us one of these crazy stories, if you don't mind? :) Oooh actually Las Vegas sounds quite exciting too  Maybe i'll see the cast of C.S.I there hahah - - Hah, i went to Dubai 4 years ago and i'm 100% sure that the place has changed SO much that i wouldn't even recognise it anymore.. They're building new buildings/shopping malls/islands there all_the_time
August 31, 200817 yr Yeah Dubai has definitely changed from the last time I went there. It's gotten so much more high tech. Apparently they have a road now. Jumairah Road I think is the name? Anyways, they charge you for just driving on the road. You buy some card or something and you put it on your car and a laser flashses on the card and charges you an amount. The road is like godlike, so that's why they're charging you. And some interesting stories... He told me about this safari that they went on. It was the best thing he's ever done in his life. Oh, and they also went to an indoor skiing place.. That was pretty cool as well. They went to Wild Wahdi ( it's a waterpark) and other places. They've got some nice pictures actually...
August 31, 200817 yr ^Ohh, how cool! I've only heard of the indoor skiing thing and actually have seen some pics of it. Looked like so much fun! Thanks for sharing btw.
September 1, 200817 yr The US Zeoir, i've been to the US 6 times and I suggest you to visit San Francisco rather than L.A. which isn't that interesting except on TV series. You could also visit New York but as for me i prefer from far S.F. which is colourful compared with other American cities. The first time i went there it was an 11 hour flight and it was tiring to remain seated all this time as there weren't stopover + the time difference with Paris (9 hours !). I've never been to Miami so i can't tell you about it. I've visited other places in the U.S. such as Grand Canyon and other National Parks (Yosemite, Yellowstone, and others). Whenever i go over there it's a real delight + people are welcoming specially on the West coast.
