A idea to help steady the worlds oil prices

With the US Dollar in free fall, and speculators trading the price of oil against the US$ may be we should start trading barrels of oil in a currency that is more stable like the EURO.

Does anyone else have any ideas… ?

Personally I think the government along with the corps in the US have helped create the conditions of the current climate to help off set the true magnitude of how much shite the US economy is in.

i think that the solution to this at least for Spain is that the goverment cut a bit the taxes they put on petrol/oil there... you know that 80% of oil cost there is just for the taxes that goverment adds to it?

that all is a big fake that someone is telling...

goverments increase the cost of it.. and btw the only solution to this i think that is to use alternative energies for cars too, like alcohol taken from plants that we don't use and that grow themselves, like in Brazil do.

The way I see it, the currency doesn't matter because in 5 years we'll be pretty much out of oil anyway, so the price isn't going to come down anytime soon. When we do run out, everyone will look back and say that actually $135 per barrel is nothing in comparison to the few drips we have left in the North Sea.

As expensive as it is, we've gotta get used to it.

i thought the same :laugh3: anyways that was only a curiosity but i really find it is a fake advert or something really :uhoh:

anyways i think that the best solution is what i've said before... use alcohol from plants that we don't use, grass and stuff like that, like is done in Brazil.

In 5 years?

So how come they are saying that the North Sea Oil won't run out for another 60 or so years?

Well maybe 5 years was a little bit under, but 60 years is very much an overestimate.

Most experts reckon we have ten years left at most before we have to start finding other places to extract the oil from, North Sea included.

And if thats wrong, blame the education system of today :laugh3:
