Yeah they tied in better, I was talking about the quality of the songs, like lyrics, etc.

I was wondering if there was an FOTC thread and there is. I love the guys, saw them on both nights at Radio City. The 2nd night was ridiculous, the encore was a sing-a-long to Cellotape. I'm hoping for a 2nd US leg of the tour but it's highly unlikely.

As for the show, the 2nd season is not as strong as the first but it has its moments. I see some of the posters here are Aussies, how do you feel about all those Aussie jokes?

Love them!

Well, I was a kiwi for 12 years, so.......

does anyone know when they might tour australia??

Why, are you Aussies going to rob their tour bus and duct tape Bret up to the door? Jk.

Haven't read about it anywhere, they are just finishing up the North American tour right now. The European fans really want to see them too. But I would think they want to take a break before adding another leg.

Good news is that Jemaine has started wearing gold leggings for the encore, showing off them sugalumps :laugh3:

FUCK YEAH :awesome:

^ THAT MEANS THEY'LL COME TO NZ SOON :wacky:

As I've said to Mike, FOTC have never toured in NZ since they got big. Apart from 2 small one off shows :(

Nope. But I was at a birthday party with Jemaine :surprised:

I didn't know him so it was meaningless :(

I was kind of pissed that they weren't touring when I was in NZ last year. :wacky:

Anyway, I've bought tickets for the first Amsterdam show. :D I'd go both nights, but I kinda wanna see LCD Soundsystem as well on the 4th of May. :(

..I'm actually considering selling my LCD ticket. That wouldn't really be fair though, as I'm taking my brother to see the the Conchords. :sweatdrop:

Where did you go in NZ?

I would definately go to LCD Soundsystem. Don't back out on that :P

BUT I'M SO TEMPTED :disappointed:

I spent about 4 months in NZ, from March to July, so I basically went everywhere. :nice: Except the East Cape and New Plymouth, but I didn't have enough time anyway. :\

I've never been to the East Cape but New Plymouth is pretty boring. You didn't miss out on much

I guess so. That's what I heard as well, hence the reason for skipping it. (and the bus connections were kind of crappy, same for East Cape) I could've easily spent another 4 months (or years) in NZ though. :nice: My visa is actually still valid for two more weeks.

I'm so looking forward to May now. :awesome:

Sooo.. I guess the whole tour sold out by now. Anyone else going? The tickets for the Amsterdam dates went on sale this morning, and they were literally gone in seconds. That doesn't happen very often. :freak: Although filthy touts bought a lot of the tickets, as usual. :dozey:

aww so lucky!!! I heard they had some 'new material' they are playing.. please let us know!~

i could of killed myself last year. they were at a college about an hour away from me and i didnt know about until the show was over :disappointed: i have NO idea how i didnt know about it before :mean:

BEST SHOW EVER. :awesome:

And I don't think I'm exaggerating (that much). This was the best show I've gone to this year for sure and probably also one of the best ever. Definitely the funniest. :D Kristen Schaal was going to open, but because of the ash cloud she couldn't make it. The Conchords played for nearly two hours (a LOT longer than I'd expected), most songs from the début and strangely, they only played two songs off I Told You I Was Freaky. Suffice to say, the show was amazing. Lots of hilarious banter (about milk wigs, for example :laugh3:) and they played almost every song a little different from the studio versions. I was pleasantly surprised that they played Jenny and Bus Driver's Song, my favourites.

They played one song that was new (I think), but I didn't record it. It was a Jemaine song about wooing a woman in 1353. Basically, he sang about how he bought new clothes (tight tights and pointy shoes) and hired a horse (a hassle because he needed two forms of identification ) to woo a woman who was to be married to the king. He failed because he didn't want to fight the king, he just wanted to tell his friends he could woo a woman. :D

I'm really really really hoping that somebody recorded the show (or any of this tour's shows, for that matter). :wacky: (but nothing so far )

The setlist was something like this (but not necessarily in the right order):

The most beautiful girl

Robots

Jenny

Bus Driver's Song

I'm not crying

think about it

Foux du fafa

I told you I was freaky

(new song)

Hiphopopotamus etc

bowie

boom

Business time

epileptic dog

Mutha'uckas

ladies of the world

---

too many dicks
