Your interpretation is a very interesting take on the Album, with at least some connections to the intended message.

Well the 2 political songs of the album would be Viva la Vida and Violet Hill. Viva may or may not refer to any current administration but it does seem to tell the tale of a former dictator who finds himself corrupted and overthrown. Violet Hill is definitely about the political situation NOW. But as with all of Chris's lyrics they can take on several meanins. Violet Hill can just as much be about having a "boss you hate working for" as a strained relationship. But it does work best as a political song about America.

I have been following all of this financial nightmare since October and cannot believe what is happening. I work for Chrysler and have just been informed that they are stopping production for at least a month! - WTF!!

 

I dont know if I should run away or just break down and cry!

 

I had to sign up to ask you - How did you know that something was up????

 

I mean, how did you realise as far back as June? (or earlier for all I know)

 

There was NOTHING in the news....I bought a new family car in July and everything was just tickety boo. What gives man?!?!

 

This needs to be discussed and spread all over the net.

How did we realise the economy was going belly up as far back as June 2007?

But seriously it's the worst time to be working for car companies, I think every car company has been effected.
