July 1, 200817 yr Why on earth would you want to go there? It's horrible!!:stunned: Because there's loads of shops?
July 1, 200817 yr Because there's loads of shops? Loads of crowded shops, to be precise. It's the stuff of nightmares!!:stunned:
July 1, 200817 yr Loads of crowded shops, to be precise. It's the stuff of nightmares!!:stunned: I've only ever been there once but I guess it's a great place if you're looking for something particular. I don't really feel the need to go to London for shopping, I get everything I need here or in Manchester.
July 1, 200817 yr I've only ever been there once but I guess it's a great place if you're looking for something particular. I don't really feel the need to go to London for shopping, I get everything I need here or in Manchester. Of course. And I bet the shops are far less crowded, too!;) I pretty much hate shops in general, as it happens, but if they're large and pretty much empty, I can handle them.;)
July 2, 200817 yr Why on earth would you want to go there? It's horrible!!:stunned: are we speaking about the same oxford st? sydney one is great, though you go past that cup cake store and are tempted. but you must hold back because they cost $34444466533 for one
July 2, 200817 yr are we speaking about the same oxford st? sydney one is great, though you go past that cup cake store and are tempted. but you must hold back because they cost $34444466533 for one As everyone knows, THE Oxford street is in London.;)
July 2, 200817 yr oh that gave me an idea. i wanna see how long the directions would be if i went from Florida to Antarctica... Why don't you find the distance from there to Cornwall instead? Its still pretty cold, but I'm not sure we have penguins. Cows though, lots of cows...
July 9, 200817 yr Author but I'm not sure we have penguins. Cows though, lots of cows... *laughs so hard and accidentally spits coffee at computer screen*
July 9, 200817 yr :laugh3:Yes, we have those same cows too! They're from Cornwall, alright - says so on the little tags on the bottoms.. (and you dare not remove those little tags, under penalty of law!):P But getting back to the Kayaking,, I think you're in luck on the return trip, with the currents going your way. But coming out, could mean more paddling. Bring plenty of fresh water, sun-tan lotion, and some munchies.. Stop off at those friendly volcanic Islands half-way. Going from Hawaii to Seattle will be dull, as there's nothing but ocean (no beautiful tropical islands to stop by).. You could hitch a ride with a whale, however!:) The third option would be to fly. Of course, this entails grafting or gluing on a pair of sturdy, muscular wings, and learning the ways of the albatross. (actually, that does sound like fun!)
July 9, 200817 yr Author I think next time I plan to go from Australia to California I will simply buy myself a plane ticket...
July 9, 200817 yr Author I can just imagine some air-head going "Yep, turn left towards beach, Kayak across the ocean!!! Where the heck am I gonna get a Kayak?"
July 10, 200817 yr Gotta find that RAC Route Map where someone hit "avoid motorways" on a journey from the midlands to the south west, taking them across to Ireland, over to France. (http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/article1081802.ece) Well it does avoid motorways...
July 11, 200817 yr :laugh3:David, that's perfect! Just hop in you yacht, do some tacking up and down the rivers, head out into the sea, roam over Ireland, back to sea, stop off in Calais for some Chablis, and head north to a Welsh golf course!
July 11, 200817 yr Why don't you find the distance from there to Cornwall instead? Its still pretty cold, but I'm not sure we have penguins. Cows though, lots of cows... HAHAHAHA, oh gosh, i just now saw that...:laugh3: i'd much rather go to Cornwall than Antarctica. No one to warm me up!! :dozey: except maybe a penguin or two. ;)
July 12, 200817 yr How to convert maps into pictures?? Either try and get a direct link to that map (http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=buckingham+palace+road+SW1&sll=51.494839,-0.146508&sspn=0.009338,0.018797&ie=UTF8&ll=51.494838,-0.150676&spn=0.009338,0.027122&z=16) Or hit print-screen on your keyboard and paste the image into Paint
