Wow, it's been a while since i've been on here....but i couldn't think of a more appropriate place to bring this up! I definitely miss coldplaying....

anyways, um, I think that i might meet paul mccartney, and not just in passing but actually possibly have dinner and or a full length conversation with him and for some reason I am FREAKING out...I don't know what to say!!! I don't want to go all "you're a living legend" on him but clearly he's not just any old guy I meet...what would you guys say??

you have got to be kidding me. I'd probably have a heart attack.

Yeah I always wonder, if I ever met Paul, what would I say to him? hopefully by the time I do meet him I've got something good to say.

but that's absolutely outrageous. keep us posted.

No, it's probably one of the biggest regrets of my life. He played 2 nights at the Hollywood Bowl, and it was cold, rainy, and I was busy at work. Normally, I don't wimp out, but that's what I did. I am so mad at myself. I am considering going up to San Francisco in July to see him.

HEY me too! I just convinced my dad and we booked the flights yesterday. just browsing ticket brokers now.

this is going to be AWESOME.

That's cool. I really want to go, but it is a 5 hour drive. Fortunately, it's on a Saturday (I believe). Mine will probably be a game time decision (like the night before).

yeah I ran into a guy at HMV (canada's music store) and he talked about Paul for a long time, but basically he convinced me that I really have no other option than to go. He's my hero, I've never seen him in concert before, and any concert could be his last :(

so off I go... hope you make it up there! Yeah it is on a Saturday. July 10th.

wow, I'm jealous. I can't really imagine what it's going to be like for me at all, considering the "concert high" I get from regular concerts. it might set me into permanent euphoria.

This was the setlist he played for the show I went to...

that looks awesome. I'm getting more and more stoked

but I wish he'd play Silly Love Songs. it's wonderfully cheesy.

can't wait for Band On The Run

and he'd better play Get Back

i'd love to see him play Uncle Albert, Maxwell's Silver Hammer or Oh! Darling (though he probably couldn't handle it vocally)

yes! Oh! Darling would be magical. I wonder if he could...

maybe it would be better with how his voice is now. like when he sings Jet live, he puts that grit (if you know what I mean) into some of the singing. but it'd be really hard to do on Oh! Darling for the entire songs. and Uncle Albert's one of my favourite songs right now;

it's just been announced that in June 13 that Paul McCartney will be releasing deluxe editions of his solo albums McCartney and McCartney II, that will include bonus tracks and unreleased songs. Definitely going to be getting the McCartney deluxe edition... great album.

He will play at Lima 2 days before Santiago so I'm looking forward to know that setlist. Ren is going to see him there :awesome:

cool!

that setlist looks pretty sweet! (especially songs like Two of Us, I'm Looking Through You, Day Tripper, Nineteen Hundred & Eighty Five.

it seems like he's playing a lot of songs from Band on the Run I guess after having the deluxe release of it. I wonder if he'll do the same for McCartney's deluxe release... I hope so!

maybe he'll go to NY again then :awesome:

I'm hoping he will!

last time he came around here I didn't have enough money to go, and also believe it or not wasn't as interested. But if he does announce a show I want to get tickets

good luck :awesome: if the timing is good I think I could try to go too :wacky:
