Ne-Yo knocks Coldplay off top spot

Featured Replies

R&B act Ne-Yo has clinched the top UK singles chart position from rock band Coldplay.

The US singer's record Closer climbed one spot from last week, edging Coldplay's new release Viva la Vida into second place.

However, the Brit band fronted by Chris Martin retained the number one position in the album chart for the third week, with their much anticipated fourth studio album entitled Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends.

i dont care. the fact is that coldplay had their first nº 1 in england and usa the rest doesnt matter all the people will remind that.

The charts have never had anything to do with how decent the music is, anyway.;)

Too late now..... it was only number 2 last week when we finally got our deserved number 1!!!

No longer the greatest band ever to never have a number 1 single!!
