When there is some sort of competion and some part time fan wins it.

It seems that knowone I know on here has won anything worth talking about to do with the band. Like to go to the specail gigs or have a party given to them in their house hosted by the boys...

 

If I won something, like a party BBQ with the band I would invite all the Board I know as I know they would be truly grateful.... for the experince....

Some of the fans on here HAVE actually won a few Coldplay-related things ..so I don't get what you're saying :confused:

Several regulars got tickets for the Brixton Academy and BBC gigs.;)

I never got one for the Barcelona gig. I never even got a response to say my application had een recived. Nether did my friend I know I here get one either, and she even went on to get her dad to apply and I think she even went for the competion via her phone..

Well, we did have the Today Show VIP contest exclusively for here. And I think all 25 people that won were most definitely actual fans and deserving of tickets!

Yeah me and the misses won soundcheck access and then had the band sign autographs during the AROBTTH tour via the local radio station.

 

HOWEVER it was the last date they were doing this as many filler fans were winning these and the band wasn't thrilled by who was winning. The band were rather empressed that we weren't the common variety fans (and especially that I had The Safety EP fopr the autograph session loaned by a friend. )

So yes sometimes fans here do win these but not as many as we'd like.

I won tickets for Brixton! And I am a real fan even if I didn't belong to the board at that point..

but I kinda understand what you're saying, some one else won the same prize by accident and we don't even know if he came to the concert he just thought it was a fun trip to london...

I get what you mean. It seems so unfair that some people who win these competitions are kind of very full of themselves, but don't seem to take any advantage of getting to know the band, apart from being able to say that have a photo with Coldplay-whose-members-I-don't-even-know-the-names. You know, I see that quite a few people (in general, not only competition winners) are very proud of material stuff that they can boast about, but forget music.

Yes I am going to see them in Barcelona.. 6 weeks today !

I would go into shock if I won something like a BBQ w/ them

I remember a thread where you showed everyone pictures where you lived and in one of them was the signed vinyl sets that means one of us won something right?
