jonny and guy got to the venue in chicago at about 3:15pm for the show on the 23rd....angie says soundcheck is usually between 2 and 4

the first Toronto show they were on at about 9:04pm (after about a 45min wait while they setup the stage after the opening act Santogold was done)

Hey, I hate to be one of those people asking what time the main band comes onstage, but I'm supposed to be working late and not sure that I'd be able to make it to the TD Banknorth Garden by the 7:30 start time on the ticket. I'm sure there must be an opening act or so, but I'm curious what time Coldplay has been going on. I've been trying not to read reviews or forums because I want to be completely surprised by the show, so my apologies if this has been covered in five million other spots.

 

Hopefully I'll be able to get there at least before Coldplay comes on, if not during the opening act.

9:15pm at Hartford.

There's going to be two opening acts tonight, if I remember correctly: Santogold and the WFNX contest winner(s). I was considering entering the FNX contest and I remember from the rules that the contest winner(s) gets to play a 20-minute set. Someone in the Hartford thread said Santogold did 6 or 7 songs, so that's about another 30 minutes or so. I'd assume about 10-15 minutes between each band for set-up time, and the show starts at 7:30 (which, let's be honest, probably isn't happening).

 

So based solely on that info, I would estimate about 9:00 PM, but my estimate is probably a bit too conservative.

So it sounds like the consensus is that if I can't get down there until 9 or a few minutes before, I should be in the clear then.
