My band just broke up

Featured Replies

Hey everyone, my band just broke up.

I wasn't sure if anyone here would even care but I just want to know if anyone else has ever had a band break up and still make it in music. We've been a band for almost a year and it seems everyone else in my area just likes metal. I really want to have a successful band and now I may never get the chance.:\

wow,that must be difficult!

Dont stress, maybe you guys will come around?

And hey! dont be negative like that, they say everything happens for a reason... and if you really want something, you can always get it!

Never give up, im sure you'll become successful one day, just stay positive and work hard!

Thanks, but it's just a little hard to be positive right now...

Hope you'll get a new band soon. This time better and solid ! :)

wish you loads of success too !

Yea my band has had its fair share of troubles

:sneaky:

It obviously wasn't working then. I don't know if you were arguing or whatever, but the fact you're not together anymore must be a good thing right. Write your own stuff and do it on your own. There's plenty of successful solo artists. I'm sure you'll find some suitable people at some point. As cheesy as it sounds... don't give up!

Got a few band broke ups to, but still can't stop with music.. and busy with starting a band with another artists, and the plans are huge.

So, try find something new, better.. because you got alot more experience now!;)

Happened to me a few weeks ago too.

Everything you just said applies to my situation.

:(

EDIT: Well, it wasn't quite a break-up. I got kicked out of the band, for reasons unknown.

sorry to hear about that man. you might be able to find some other people in bands if you get the word out that you're looking.

Yeah, I haven't been around in a while but thanks for all the kind words.:)

I've decided to kind of go solo for a while, it's liberating knowing I can play whatever I want whenever I want (until 10PM anyway as people need to sleep:P).

Sorry to hear that. :(

If you look at almost any successful band's bio though, usually all the members have had at least one or two other bands in their past that have broken up. It's actually what has given them the experience they needed to be in a band that worked. And if a band has personalities that clash, it's a recipe for self-destruction the moment they have the tiniest bit of success if they even last that long, so probably healthy to get it out of the way sooner than later.

If you've got the talent and the will, do your homework- keep practicing and getting better, keep writing, and keep in touch with the music community as best you can. That way when the next door opens, you'll be ready for it. :D Hope I don't sound too preachy, but I really do think it's true.

Sorry about your band... but that time playing by yourself can be reay helpful for your musical career don't you think??

Keep up your work!!! U'll do great!!

Yeah probably...

I'm sorry about that :/

but it doesn't mean that you won't have a famous band any more :D

just believe in yourself XD

you need self - confidence to be successful in whatever you want ;)
