That attitude is commonplace over in the UK too :dozey:

Yup. Sadly, that's true. That "Benidorm" series is far more realistic than you might think.:dozey:

If we ever meet Lore, I'm gonna speak only in Spanish to you

We wouldn't be able to talk about very much, but it would be a good learning experience for me! :P

we will, and I'll talk to you in spanish... you'll have to learn what cerveza means :drunk:

Glad to hear you're ok Sarah, sorry you've had such a horrible day, but the important thing is that you are well. Cars can be fixed... people are a little more tricky. Take care of yourself

but don't you have to take another languages at school? Maybe spanish is not that important in the UK, but maybe french?

here there are some private schools where they have lessons in spanish and english (or french sometimes). In the public schools the english sucks, and they used to teach french too but not anymore, so I had some crappy english lessons and two years of french but I can't remember anything

@Anna - My pleasure. :nice: No, I didn't. I probably have to upload them myself after all, but the picture quality didn't turn out quite as good on my recording as his. :\
Sleep well!!

If you need any help with converting files or programs to cut... just write! :nice:

yes, it was :awesome: I'll go to watch it now I think :)

Coldplaying helps a lot, because you're forced to write in english if you want to make friends  I'll try to force myself to learn french now :wacky: And I think we can help you with spanish anyway :P

and in a random note, it will be sooo weird to speak spanish with cooky in february

I am so happy that everyone was so friendly in Paris and speaking either slow French or English with me.

Cooky is one of those people I envy because they grew up bilingual.

Lore, when we meet in NYC you have to speak a little Spanish with me so I can fresh it up

Please Lore  if there's one Spanish word I know, it's cerveza! :drunk:

Don't even get me started on foreign language education :P It just drives me nuts that every bit of research clearly points to the fact that children pick up language about 100x easier when they're very young yet schools in the US usually don't start teaching foreign languages until the ages of 12 or 13! [/rant] :P

I started learning French in year 3, when I was 8, Latin in year 7, English year 9.

12 or 13 years of age indeed is late. :shocked2:

I'll come to the concrete jungle as soon as I can!!

I have a traveller's passport that has never been needed so far :disappointed:

Cooky and you all lot have to do the Coldplay sightseeing tour for me then!

Practise it with Chris - then it'll be perfect for me next year :P

Hehe well we've already practiced it with Pris, so it will only improve when Chris comes, and then for you, it will be perfect! Poor Pris, she had to be the guinea pig :P

In English schools kids have to learn a foreign language between the ages of 11 & 14, but that's it... there is literally no end to the arrogance our country has where our language is concerned :(

 I know, if I ever have kids I'd love to teach them a foreign language as soon as possible... maybe I should marry a cute english or american guy :lips:

I've always said that if I was fluent in another language I would speak only that language in front of my kids when they are really little so they could pick up both languages. Too bad I'm not fluent :P... marrying a cute foreign guy sounds like a better plan.

Too bad my bf is from my hometown :disappointed: :P

Let's have a double wedding in the UK then!!!

And we should so try to meet there at the same time :bomb:

it's because you speak english! :P here you must know english if you want a decent job, At uni I have to read tons of papers in english and there is an english exam, you need 80%, if you get less than that you can't graduate.

We'll organise a huuuuuge cake like that one I sent to your profile for your hen night (a bit inappropriate for a wedding if you don't marry another Cooky Monster )

Yay for bilingual children!

They can play together, watched by our husbands while we go to that special concert for Coldplayers only.

Oh my imagination :laugh3:

Anyway girls... I'm getting a pretty bad headache (probably from all the stress and excitement of today :P) so I think I need to get away from the computer screen.

Have a nice evening everyone!
