So apart from you feeling completely destroid :P.... how's your day going???

Not bad... I slept in quite a bit and I have a babysitting job later, which I'm excited for, because the little girl I'm watching is adorable and lots of fun. :)

Okay, just a couple more minutes, and I will post the complete story of yesterday! :P

awwww you're babysitting!!! :nice:

how old is she??? i have a 2 yearl old niece, and i've learned that toddlers can be quite entertaining!!!! :D

yes!!!! i want the full story!!!!

She's 3 years old, and she really is entertaining! :D

Okay, so yesterday: my friend and I decided that we wanted to see the play Chicago on Broadway because one of the actresses from our favorite TV show, The Office, was in it (Melora Hardin, who plays Jan on the show). So obviously we don't have a ton of money to spend on Broadway tickets (they are SO expensive!) so we decided to get rush tickets, which is when you go to the box office before it opens on the day of the show you want to see, wait in line until the box office opens, and then when it finally opens, they give cheap tickets to the first 25 people in line. We had to get in to the city early though, so we took a train at 7 AM with all the commuters, and we had to stand the whole way because there were no seats. :( It was worth it though, because we got there an hour and a half before the box office opened, and we were very close to the front of the line, and we got 3rd row seats for $30!

So after we got our tickets it was 10 AM, and the show was not until 8 PM. So clearly we had a lot of time to kill. First, we were really tired from getting up super early, so we found a Starbucks in Times Square, and got our caffeine fix. :wacky:

Jeez, this is shaping up to be quite a story! I didn't realize I wrote so much! Okay more coming in a second, I promise! :P

Oh wow!!!

A whole day in NYC with a friend sounds like a good time......:D

I thought broadway tixx were expensive, but I didn't know you could do that!!!!

and even better 'cause you got good seats!!!

***waiting for second part of the story :wacky:***

so where did you go after the zoo??? :nice:

Anyway, for the end of my story:

We made our way down 5th avenue and looked in some store where we could never actually afford to buy anything there, and took an extremely crowded subway down to 42nd street, where we had dinner. Then after dinner, we walked up through Times Square and poked around in those touristy stores until it was time for the play, which was amazing!

After the play the actress we came to see (Melora Hardin) actually had a little Q & A session, which was great, and we didn't even know it was going to happen! Then after that we waited outside the stage door for her to come out and I got to meet her!

Aww thanks!

It really was great day, even if it was exhausting! :D

She looks a little funny, with all the stage makeup on, but she was sooooo nice. She stayed and took a picture with and gave autographs to everyone who waited for it, which was just incredibly nice of her. I was proud of myself for not being too starstruck to talk to her too!

Edit:

Okay, I'm off for my babysitting job! See you later!

Oh that's really cool!!!

I mean, she must have been really tired but still took some time for fans..... that's always appreciated :nice:
