How are you doing Dave? Everything okay?

I'm pretty good, pretty tired after attacking the front lawn with the electric rake in an attempt to get rid of the moss, so now instead of looking green it looks a mix of brown, grey, green & yellow, but it has hardly any moss now :)

 

I have nothing against moss, I just prefer grass.

Oh, and I killed my lawnmower today.. Talking about grass! ;)

How did you kill a lawnmower?

 

For me, it's a short week (4 days) and with pay-day on Friday :D

I had payday last week..

 

Well.. Honestly I don't know! I was almost done mowing when it started sputtering and then it just died, grey smoke coming out and smelling really bad.. So I immediately cut off the power, so when it would set on fire I could throw a bucket of water over it and without getting electrocuted! :confused:

Electric lawnmower, I see.

 

Chances are that you hit something which forced the motor to burn out. I prefer petrol lawnmowers, as you don't have to worry about any leads to run over.

 

But you silly sausage for killing your lawnmower :P

Ah, thanks for clearing that up! I'm quite frightened to fire it up again..

I think I'll just dump it and buy a new one.. :(

Depends how old it is, but with electric it's always safer to get replacements, as electric ones are more dangerous.

It's 6 years old.. It's still standing where I left it this afternoon, didn't explode yet and I hope to keep it that way.

I'm going to shop for a new one soon. With the weather like it is right now, the grass grows sooooo fast!! The results of my hard work will be gone in about 3 days! :\

It's lovely weather for me at the moment, been 3 days of perfect sunshine.

 

I have the 2 lawnmowers, a year old honda which has a motorised back axle (you pull a lever and it moves on it's own) and an ancient 12-ish year old Flymo whose engine is perfect, but the chassis has some holes around the sides so when cutting the grass the grass goes everywhere

3 days so soon :o

i guess that's why we don't have grass on our garden. :thinking: we have lots of roses instead :nice:

I love our large garden, it's a shame it's full of moss instead of grass at the moment :(

The weather has been great here too!! The sun has been shining for the past 4 days or so and the good weather keeps on coming.

Forecasts are thunderstorms for tonight tho, but only for the West side of the country and I live up in the north so I guess we'll have a easy night tonight.. :nice:

Aren't the girls (Pris, Sarah, Steph, and Noelia) in the same boro of NYC as Guy? Did they get the tweet and run off to Union Square?

For me, the latest met office forecast says it's going to be a nice week, temperatures down the low-20s this weekend to the high teens, but overall a good week with a spot of rain

I'm so going to wear my newest dress tomorrow, suits the weather perfectly. Tho' I will need to change when I'm going to work, otherwise my clients will go in to cardiac arrest when they see me! ;)
