[11 August 2008] Four US shows announced...

"It's great that they've added more shows, but why in the exact same cities they've already performed or were already scheduled to perform in??"

I think it's probably mostly to do with what fits their touring schedule. They've got to play places they can easily get to (band, crew, and gear) from other places their playing. Perhaps few other markets make sense geographically(sp?), within the framework of the already scheduled dates?

"idk i just can't seem them going to these places for the second time and bringing the same exact show..."

Why not, they have before. IMHO anyone who goes a 2nd time expecting more than a slightly different set (if different at all), is setting themselves up for disappointment. It would be cool (and IMHO they really ought to), but I wouldn't get my hopes up...

I agree.

What's the point in playing the same places again?! If they are going to play extra dates they should go to the ones that have been missed out.

Not that America hasn't had enough tour dates already :P

Well, I'm just happy they have added more shows.

They get slammed for not playing long enough sets, they get nagged when they skip certain venues. It all boils down to the fact that they will never please all of the people all of the time.

I look at Boston like a regional date. Folks will travel from all over New England, NY and the Maritines in Canada to catch them in Boston. Different venues might have been nice but I don't mind traveling to see them.

I'm screwed if it is not a real gig and my credit card has allready been charged

I was trying to see if I could maybe get early tickets (didn't work) but this is better. My dad isn't a big fan of Coldplay (I KNOW, right? I'm molding him though... he said "42" wasn't that bad and I caught him singing "Violet Hill" once.) but he likes Duffy (weird) and if I can get him to get tickets for Coldplay because of that, then my job is done. :D

nice! at least they added some GOOD support! that will make some people happy. i don't really know duffy but i know shes pretty popular.

and to fakfak... i don't care if they play the same set or not because i'm excited to see them again REGUARDLESS. i just feel like it would be weird as a band to go into the same building about 3 months after you played there before and put on basically the same show. again whatever they do is fine with me but i'd imagine there will at least be a FEW set changes.

Hopefully there will be some changes, I'm just saying it wouldn't shock me if there were not, based on what Coldplay has done in the past. It's not an issue for me, because if the set's good, I don't mind seeing it multiple times live; but, it seems to be an issue for a lot of people on these boards.

OH MY FUCKING GOD!!!

THEY'RE COMING BACK!!!

THEY'RE COMING BACK!!!

I'M GOING!!! I HAVE TO GO!!!! AHH!! I'M CRYING WITH HAPPINESS!!!

Yay to the newly-announced cities!

But....ARGH! WHERE'S ANAHEIM?!

(*still crossing fingers* cause otherwise that's false advertising from the tour shirts, LoL)

Hey!!! wait a minute, wait a minute!!!

they could have smooshed CALGARY in there instead!

i mean, jonny DID say he would have been disappointed

if there wasn't a date here.. so why the hell not?!?! :\

haha my sadness angers me but, coldplay, you still make me smile. :)

I'm glad they'll be back but right after I start my job I'm down $200!

DC stop

well, dont u think they are coming back to DC because the fan base is so huge??

dont be jealous

u could always fly into DC

I'm not trying to bash the band. I was just whining a little. Yes, I do travel to see Coldplay. Always have and always will. But, traveling is expensive, and I do know other fans who just can't afford it. DC and Atlanta are the closest venues to North Carolina, and there's no way for a fan from NC to see Coldplay without spending quite a bit of money on gas and at least one night in a hotel.

It's just a minor whine; I didn't mean to piss anyone off. I was just hoping that if they added more tour dates that one of them may be in NC. And, not so much for me even, but for other NC fans who aren't able to travel so far to see Coldplay.

Philly!!!! Noice1!!!!!!!!!11
